Virginia Eye Institute At Huguenot Bridge is a really nice place to go if you are having any kind of problem with your eyes. All of the staff was very helpful and nice making me feel safe in my surroundings. My Dr. Slott was very nice and made me feel very comfortable with the treatment he was going to give me . The Virginia Eye Institute is a gigantic factory where the staff's only focus is that they can charge and collect money. They have no interest in ensuring you receive the care you requested. As a new client, I called and set up an appointment for a regular exam. After arriving, and having to visit several unmarked buildings to find the correct place for the appointment, I was told I was assigned to a specialist doctor who doesn't accept my vision insurance, even though on the phone I gave them all insurance details. The receptionist encouraged me to see the specialist, even after I repeatedly explained I only needed a regular exam and seeing a specialist would result in over-charges / incorrect insurance issues. If you go to the Virginia Eye Institute, expect no help from the staff for the help you've requested, and be prepared to double and triple check everything they sign you up for, as it likely is not what you need and will cause you months of battling insurance companies to correct the problems they create.

My appointment was scheduled for 1:30pm with Anita for contact lense fitting. I was immediately checked in and my wait time was about 5 minutes. Anita is awesome! She is very attentive and knowledgeable! I really appreciate all the assistance and extra literature she provided to assist with my eye condition. Definitely an asset to the Virginia Eye Institute!
