I have been seeing Dr. Hardin for about 6 months for glaucoma treatment requiring eye drops and eventually surgery. I find him to be an excellent, very experienced doctor. He is thorough, takes time to listen to my concerns, and provides excellent care. I've seen several eye doctors in the past 30 years and am very pleased to have ended up in his care.

Overall terrible experience. I've tried politely emailing for 30 days with not one response. Email thread below. Beware of what you're being asked to sign. Ask to read it. Second attempt at understanding what went wrong and how patient rights culture. My eye got worse after I left to the point my face started having shooting pains and I had to seek other care. I advised the dr that my condition was rapidly getting worse even with doing the things he suggested I do. I also advised him that me getting a ride was no problem and had a towing service on standby to pick my vehicle and I up if needed. It was my hope that going to one of the largest most diverse eye drs in the area would yield results yet that's not the case. I feel mistreated and I need help understanding what the failure point is Original message sent 19DEC This has been one of the wildest Dr experiences I've ever encountered The person I spoke with on the phone gave me high hopes. She was extremely friendly, inviting, and really made me feel like my issue was going to be truly looked at and everything would be ok. Then came the media campaign. Almost a dozen communications between email text and call for one appt. This is wild to me. I added the appt on my calendar when it was made. I agreed to be there. I will be When I arrived at the office I was shocked to see it so full when google says office hours are 0800. I came in at 0750 for a 0810 appt. The person who checked me in was the start of this very poor experience. As someone who deals with people and documents often, I found it wild the reaction I received from the staff member when I asked to see what I was agreeing to. It's clear that most people aren't even given the chance to review and are pressured to sign without seeing. Some documents weren't even at her desk or within arms reach. She had to travel thru out the office to find. Was directed to waiting room two and then called again. When I arrived to where the call for me came from there were two people standing. One rep seemed friendly and said she didn't call for me. The other was having a completely separate conversation and I said let me know when you're ready. I was scoffed at and pointed at then motioned to a room in a less than friendly fashion. The person conducting my initial contact in the exam room was clearly wanting to be anywhere but at work it seems like I was a bother and the dialect used when being talked to was like I did something wrong or I was interrupting her day. It sounded like she was just angry at the world and it made me very uncomfortable. I asked to adjust the seat since I am 65 and fairly large and you would've thought that I asked her to amputate her leg and give it to me or something after being directed back out to the waiting area again the person who called me back to meet the doctor was super friendly and the actual only nice person I interacted with here today. Meeting the doctor Again. It felt like he was spaced out and could care less. I understand he may see the condition that I had multiple times a day, but to me this is scary. My eyes are my livelihood and I feel a touch of empathy or compassion. Could've gone a long way. Even when he was explaining things to me, it felt like he was in another world thinking about something else and just rattling off enough to get me to leave hand me a pamphlet says thanks have a nice day and that was it. I feel worse now walking out of the office than I did when I came here. It is absolutely mind blowing to me. I'm hoping somebody can coach me on how to be a better patient since it seems like I'm not doing well I'm sitting in the parking lot looking up other eye doctors that I could get a same-day appointment at they could actually give me some reassurance and make me feel like I'm going to be OK Again I understand it might not be a big deal. What's going on to someone who sees it multiple times a day but to someone who's going through it it is.

Last week I had an appointment with Dr. Kahn on a Friday morning. I received excellent care from everyone in the office. My check in person was friendly and checked me in quickly. Dr. Kahn's assistant that checked my medications and eyes was knowledgeable, attentive and cheerful. Dr. Kahn examined my eyes as a follow up for blepharitis. He answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I was seen in under an hour and I left with the impression that excellent customer service matters to the practice and everyone there seemed to like their job. It was a pleasant experience and I look forward to my next visit with Dr. Kahn and VEI.

I get so very irritated every time I have an appointment to get my eye injected for macular degeneration. I do not know why they even schedule appointments. Every time I go there I can count on the appointment taking up to 3-4 hours of my time as I wait, and I wait, and I wait. My appointment last week started as usual. After the tech finished with me, she sent me to the waiting room. They usually do a retinal scan. I waited and waited and waited. Finally I spoke to the supervisor and I had not been added to the list to be scanned. So I got the scan done and I waited and I waited and I waited. A new disinfectant was used on my eyes and for almost two days I felt like I had grit in my eyeballs. I have tried every thing to accelerate the process--even asking for the first appointment of the day. And it ends up being the same out come. My time is as valuable as is that of the staff at VEI, but that is not appreciated.

I highly recommend this location. The staff is very friendly, efficient and pleasant. They do an excellent job of keeping on schedule to eliminate unnecessary wait time and addressing any concerns. My check-in lady (LaTonya) was very friendly and pleasant. Often times, you don't get that from Professional offices. Also, Dr. Williger and his assistant, who did the initial screening, are very professional and courteous!

Only go here if you have time to waste. Appt was for 2:20. Arrived at 2:15. Sat in the waiting room until 2:50. Then when I let them know I would need to leave as I'd already been there 30 min and hadn't even been called back for my actual appointment and had to get back to work, THEN and only then did they tell me the appointments take 1-2 HOURS. Typically. As a working person, I have no clue who could possibly fit this into their schedule, even if the first 30 minutes past your appointment time wasn't spent sitting out in the waiting room with 30 other people. I will add that when I was at the check-in desk I asked about how long the appointments take as I haven't had an eye exam since primary school. Her answer was very vague and all she said was it shouldn't be long of a wait because the doctor I was seeing had "many openings".

The appointment was good up until I left, I was not informed that I may need a driver as the drops would restrict my vision and make driving difficult nor did they give me any glasses when I left to help shield the sun until the drops wore off. I left and could not see to drive, I had to pull over and sit at Wawa(how I made it that far only God knows) until the drops wear off. I missed work due to negligence. This is unacceptable and very dangerous.

I wanted to come here to get quality vision care. Trying to make an appointment and verifying my insurance was a joke. No help at all. Got an immediate appointment at Americas Best
