Dr. Weiler and his staff were very supportive of my eye Care and medical issues that prevented me from seeking treatment for cataracts. I cannot thank them all enough for the patience and knowledge they used to give me a thorough eye examination. I felt comfortable asking questions and received knowledgeable answers. The receptionist I talked with made sure my insurance would cover my visit, and fit me in fairly quickly; my vision was fading fast. Dr. Weiler's assistant was reassuring during my eye exam, and Dr. Weiler himself was caring, thorough during the eye exam, and also concerned about diabetes and thyroid issues I have that may contribute to my eye disease. The receptionist made me an appointment to have the cataracts removed in Kilmarnock. My visit was in Tappahannock. But the eye surgery will be done in Kilmarnock. Thank you all for a knowledgeable, caring, exam. I can't give Dr. Weiler and his staff enough praise.

I cannot give this business and the staff enough stars!! 5 stars just isn't enough!!! I've had severe issues with vertigo and lights for about 5 years now. I have always put off getting my eyes dilated and treated, even though I knew I had cataracts. The left eye was the worst for me and that's the one the light bothers me in the most that sets off my vertigo. I was absolutely petrified to get an eye examination done. However, Dr. W and his staff made me feel so welcomed, and everyone in the building from the front desk all the way back we're very very educated all around, starting with the receptionist who is an EMT. We talked for a while and I was telling her my concerns about even having a visit; she was very reassuring and comforting. The doctor's assistant was very helpful and kept telling me to just take deep breaths to calm down. Vertigo is something that really affects me badly and a trip to have lights put in my eyes actually terrified me. But she kept reminding me to breathe, to take a break if I needed to shut my eyes during the examination, and was very patient. The ophthalmologist, Dr. Weiler, himself was a God send! Not only was he highly knowledgeable in his field of ophthalmology, he went on to ask me other questions about my health as he compared my health and my situation to my chart. They had my records from the hospital in Gloucester VA. I didn't think they could get those but they had them and we're on top of everything going on with me not just my eyes. The doctor's assistant educated me on endocrinology and her experiences it wasn't an in and out job yesterday. These three people made my life feel so much better knowing I can go somewhere and get an exam and someone will listen to what I have to say,. I know the medical field is very busy I'm a medical professional too. But, I have to give these three the highest of Kudos ever! If it was not for their patience, understanding, trying to understand my dilemma, I probably would have not gotten my eyes examined I walked out of Hampton roads eye associates in Gloucester they would not listen to what I had to say. But if you have any issues and concerns and you want people who genuinely care about your sight and your health, then you should go to the Old Dominion eye Care clinic in Tappahannock or Kilmarnock. If there's any misspells it's because I cannot see and he is going to treat my cataracts, and I feel totally comfortable now with him doing so I do not have a care in this world about the light and vertigo because I know these medical professionals will listen to me. First, they don't identify which office you have reached on the answering machine. They scheduled my husband in Tappahannock for a day they weren't even there. Today, when he finally went for his rescheduled appointment, they told him he hadn't met his Medicare deductible, which is impossible because he has a United Healthcare supplement "F", (grandfathered in when they stopped selling that plan) which covers his deductible.
