100% positive experience! Starting with ease of parking, access to office, the real deal is the Eye Doctors of Washington office experience. Doctor Mayer is a very professional, highly qualified, and very personable ophthalmologist with a stellar reputation. Every step of the way all of the staff in the office....from first contact with reception, the skilled technicians who do their part of the appointment, the surgery coordinators (if you're also preparing for an eye surgery, cataracts in my case) are first class. Efficient but not rushed, friendly but not overtalkative, and the coordinators keep you on top of anything you need to do in prep for any appointments or upcoming surgeries. Reception area and doctors' exam rooms are immaculately clean, and spacious enough to be very comfortable. I went there based on a referral of a trusted friend and I will be referring Eye Doctors of Washington EDOW) to my family and friends in the future!

I just had a thorough eye exam for the first time at EDOW. They are professional, knowledgeable and personable. They are efficient and I got through the entire exam process in about a half hour. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. After getting tested for glaucoma, I had a retinal scan. Dr. Nguyen reviewed the results with me and answered all my questions. I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone.

Service was fine. My experience was greatly diminished when the person at the front desk required a copy of my referral (from my family practitioner) right then. I was seen on a federal holiday so my military doctor was closed. They have never requested I provide a copy of the referral previously, I've been seen here since 2022. The kicker was that they needed the referral by 3:00 the following day. So I took the email address from the lady at the front desk. The next day it took hours to get a copy of the referral but I had it before 3:00 sent it to the email address provided and she did not acknowledge receipt. So I tried to call and contact her, people answering the phone were no help in contacting the person. They actually said they would send a secure email so that could attach the referral they did not. So today I followed up again and was told since I was late they might bill me directly, I reminded the lady I was not late I sent it to the lady at the front desk yesterday before 3 pm and I sent it again today to the email address provided this afternoon. The way patients are treated goes a long way, I'm very disappointed.

Very professional office. Had cataracts removed and was impressed by the booklet I was given with step by step instructions for preparing for surgery. I remember nothing about the surgery itself. 2,5 years later I returned for laser removal of some cloudiness on the lenses and it was a very quick procedure done in the office. I couldn't be more grateful for Dr. Mayer and his staff.
