Just scheduled an appointment for cataracts --first available is eleven months out. Ridiculous.

Customer service is not the best, they have a appointments being scheduled 8 months out, along with extensive construction causing unpredictable traffic. Even with leaving 2 hours ahead for a 1 hour drive made us late 10 mins. They wouldn't see me and then called back once we were already almost home to say they would still see me. I have lost all hope in our health care system no matter the facility washington state has the worst health care.

Been trying to schedule a FOLLOW UP appointment over 1.5 months now. All I got is a round around or total silence. Don't go there unless you like to wait forever or never. Just awful. And forget about calling Patient advocacy for help. They don't do anything including returning calls! Patients have no recourse to get help at all! My last visit there, I was the only patient so I don't understand about them being "busy"

Tried to make appointment but can't and not responding. Got a triage nurse line appointment person to respond. After 3 days... but not really a triage nurse... said he walked over to the appointment person personally and talked to and was supposed to get a call back today... didn't happen. Also he didn't really put me on hold and never heard him talk to anyone just random voices in background. Also can't make an appointment through regular uw medical hospital line

Based on internet info - the UW Eye Institute is open Neil 5pm. But call results in a robot who states that the clinic is closed. I was at UW ER for a concern for eye abrasion w direction for them to call me today. Perhaps they called me from. Seattle number I do not recognize- but I called and waited for a long time, and got the robot again. I was hoping to have an appt ASAP to tell me - all is OK. Or, something needs to be done. A great Med school, with a sub-par medical staff.
This is not an effective system.
I would send a note and upload a photo of my eyeball - but since the turn over in the "Eye Institute" is so frequent, I have no current MD to whom I could address a message.
Sorry, I get that you are understaffed, but a human contact to at least tell you when the clinic is REALLY closed. If you need someone to answer calls to the Eye Institute - I am a senior in search of a job. Telecommuting would be great.

Dr. Taravati and her team are top-notch. They all made time to answer my numerous questions, explained all the procedures that I would be having today, Dr. Taravati explained in detail all my surgical and non-surgical options, everyone demonstrated professional behavior at all times, and were all supportive, caring and kind. Thank you for a positive experience. Yes, there was a bit of a wait before my appointment (about 15 mins) but the staff was aware there were patients waiting and made time to keep us updated.

I called for an appointment about 1630. The office closes at 5 pm. I was just on hold the whole time with the message: We are are having heavy volume calls at this time, please continue to hold. Really? or no one just wants to answer the phone at this time. This is not the first time it happened.

I am an hr into my apt and still haven't seen a doctor because they scheduled way too many people all at once for 1 doctor. Why do that, you just anger a bunch of people and then you don't even care. I thought medical personal are supposed to care about people. I don't feel like it at all. If I didn't have to come here I definitely would not !
