Ephrata Eye Care

The doctor is nice, seemed thorough and caring. I ordered my glasses for distance as well as computer distance glasses. The distance glasses were good but I couldn't see through the computer glasses when they arrived. The staff (not the doctor) checked and said "we see the problem" and said a corrected pair would be in a couple weeks. No problem...I can wait. When the second pair of computer glasses arrive, they are bifocals. I didn't ask for bifocals and I'm utterly confused. Instead of discussing the matter with the doctor, I am told (by the front desk person) that "computer glasses mean different things to different people" (what?). In other words, somehow this is my responsibility. After much polite discussion with 3 different office personnel, I am offered a refund. I've worn computer glasses for many, many years and this is the first time there's been an issue, and all I know is not my issue. Now I have to pay for another exam to get my computer glasses somewhere else. Can't recommend.

I visited Ephrata Eye Care for a basic eye exam as a first-time patient after moving and changing insurance. The experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. The entire appointment, all in all, took less than five minutes--an alarmingly rushed process that felt careless, not efficient. He only flipped between two lenses during the exam, which explains the brevity and left me questioning the thoroughness of the evaluation. Dr. George ( I believe) was rude and dismissive when I expressed concerns about my previous prescription, which had been causing severe headaches and eye strain. He bluntly stated that my old prescription "must have been right because this is a scientific process, not just a made-up number," completely ignoring my symptoms. To top it off, I was ushered out without any documentation about my eyesight results, the corrected vision with the new prescription, or even the details of the new prescription itself. The lack of transparency and poor customer care was unacceptable. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this practice.

The last pair of glasses I got, they could use the same frames I already has. I'm on social security so I don't have a lot of money.

I rarely review but this time I felt it needed it. At my first eye test the dr was friendly but the whole exam was maybe 5 min with dilation and he only checked maybe 3 different lenses I had a feeling my prescription would be wrong. And comparing it to my old prescription his showed my eyes had improved which I knew was wrong. I wanted to try contacts so he pushed a certain brand and I had to come in two more times one for "help putting them in which was me watching a YouTube video on a phone which I could have done at home and not been charged 40 bucks then a week later for him to make sure they were not doing damage to my eyes. When I arrived at that apt he was short, snappy and very rude. The contacts were awful and I requested another brand and he fought me on it( because he wasn't getting money from the other company) he didn't even look at my eyes for "damage" I just sat down and got put down. That apt cost 60 dollars. Mind you I live 30 minutes away with two kids so I am driving an hr round trip to be dismissed and charged a bunch of money that could have been done over the phone. I did receive the new brand and they are 10000 times better. And as he said if you think you can find better in my 35 years of practice then I'll laugh. Well I found better. I will not be returning I would rather drive to Spokane then deal with someone who rushes prescription and is rude and just wants money.

Very nice clinic to go to, got us in on time and I felt they were pretty thorough. Staff and Dr were very friendly and helpful. When I go again, if they continue to meet and exceed expectations, I'll update to 5 stars. *Also, with the 2020 issues going on, I felt like they were very conscientious and well practiced at keeping everything clean. Top notch!

Dr Sisson was thorough, kind and made me feel at ease. His front desk staff is friendly and warm. He actually recommended I find some OTC glasses until my vision gets worse, as I'm just starting to notice a few age related issues. I have never had an eye exam but I would venture to guess many providers would instead encourage you to purchase more high end glasses from them so I appreciated his honesty and approach.

Every time I go to Ephrata Eye Care I'm greeted warmly by the staff. They're so friendly and professional and my wait time is always less than 5 minutes. Dr. Sisson is such a great person, he's funny and genuinely cares about his patients.

Best experience yet. Always friendly, The Dr. is prompt, and takes his time to make sure I have a solid exam. Staff from the time you walk in until you leave is very friendly and helpful. I reccomend all my friend's to go to Ephrata Eye Care.
