Advanced Eyecare of Mukilteo

I had a wonderful experience at Advanced Eyecare of Mukilteo. Dr. Sarah Jackson was incredibly kind and thorough during my new patient exam. She took the time to really talk with me, understand my eye concerns, and even coordinate with my primary care provider to help get some answers. It was so refreshing to see a provider who genuinely cares and doesn't rush you through the appointment just to move on to the next patient. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Shawn at the front desk helped me understand my benefits and assisted me in finding the cutest pair of glasses without costing an arm and a leg. As someone who works in healthcare myself, I can be pretty picky about where I go for care. I'd rather wait until I find a provider I truly trust than just see anyone--and this office absolutely exceeded my expectations. I would 100% recommend Advanced Eyecare of Mukilteo to anyone looking for a new eye care provider.

I recently started seeing Dr. Meimey Wong and optician Shawn Clearman at Advanced Eye Care, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. They recommended that I switch to progressive lenses, in addition to carefully checking my overall eye health. Switching to this new type of lens, for both contacts and glasses, can be a little tricky and may require some adjustments. Thanks to their careful guidance, the process has been virtually effortless. The team is always warm, friendly, professional, and truly attentive on making every visit a positive experience.

The staff are friendly and the provider is knowledgeable, competent in her abilities as an optometrist. Would highly recommend her to complete the eye exam however I would not buy and frames from this establishment. Both times I have been there...I have a nice eye experience and have spent over $1000 on glasses. I ask for all the bells and whistles on the differing pairs. I pay and then get random bills that have been forgotten ($9 here, $30 there). The billing is off. Make the patient pay their bills on initial visit. Run the insurance and apply that and then the "customer" so to speak can select the frames within the parameters of their health insurance. If the customer/ patient chooses to select a pair outside of their insurance plan then bill them at the office visit and expect they pay in full at that visit, just as you would at a store. So when you spend $2k in eyeglasses and make a clerical error over a $9 charge, I would suggest implementing a business model that considers the amount of money you are getting when someone buys the eye ware versus the requested amount to the customer/ patient due to some sort of clerical error. We all make mistakes but tiny weird bills getting sent after spending a significant amount of money doesn't want me to go back. But again they provide great eye care.

My son and I have been seeing Dr Wong for many years. She has prescribed and ensured his Ortho-K treatment to be a success, which has allowed him to not need glasses or contacts anymore. He sleeps at night with a hard contact that helps reshape his cornea through his day giving him 20/20 vision. It is an amazing option for young eyes seeming to slow or hold the negative regression most of us experience.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. I had a great experience with Dr. Jackson. Very happy with the options for frames. The staff were knowledgeable and answered all my questions about insurance coverage for different lens and frame options.

Disappointed I didn't do more research and read more reviews prior to having my appointment with this company. The reviews do not lie. They will charge you incorrectly or even send you a bill 2 months after your appointment, when you have paid in full on the day of. They pressure you to get things you don't need for your glasses making them seem necessary. Just seems money hungry. Will be canceling my future appointment and going elsewhere.

They are not transparent at all, called me saying I needed to get an annual eye exam without informing me that the prescription lasts 2 years in Washington State. Didn't also tell me that the contact lens prescription wasn't going to be covered by insurance because the 2 yrs hadn't passed. Essentially forced an eye appointment on me without giving me an option and then charged me out of pocket for the optos machine and contact evaluation. Extremely deceitful office

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They take time to explain all options and made the glasses buying process a breeze.
