Made a trip to Opthomology today. At this clinic every employee I dealt with was so
Helpful and polite. I was very impressed.
A special thanks to Kim (mgr I think) made me truly feel like a special customer.. and
Doctor Hayward was one of the most
thorough and professional I have dealt with
in my 82 years.
To start with, I had to leave multiple messages, spanning over the course of 2 weeks just to get an appointment scheduled. On my appointment day, I didn't have to wait long to get into a room which was great and the assistant was very professional and friendly. After she numbed my eyes, I waited over 40 minutes for the doctor. The doctor entered the room, barely looked at me, spoke very fast and rushed me through a line of questioning about my concerns. He hurried me through the visual exams then quickly offered me some suggestions, wrote a prescription for glasses, then rushed me out the door. As I was checking out, I inquired about the cost of a procedure that Spokane Eye Clinic had done for me a few years prior which alleviated some of my symptoms, and being that the procedure isn't covered by insurance I wanted to get an idea of what it would cost. After waiting for over 15 minutes, it was determined that no one at the clinic could get me the cost. Very disappointing. I've been a patient at Spokane Eye Clinic for over 20 years and have never been treated like such an inconvenience. Terrible experience.
The clinic was recently purchased by big corporate. It's absolutely terrible now. They don't take our insurance anymore for hardware, no one bothered to tell us this before our appointment, which was rather frustrating. In addition, they inundate you with reminder emails, beg you to sign up for their portal, yet no one can be bothered to answer the phone. I sat on the phone multiple times for over 15 minutes each time to cancel an appointment, still could not reach anyone, so perhaps they will pay attention to this review and cancel my appointment for next week as I will no longer waste my time to try and contact them. I ended up going to a different optical clinic to order my glasses and contacts, they report the same issue with no answering of the telephone. Dr. Noakes is amazing, I'm sure it's the change in ownership because this was never an issue before. Our entire family is taking our optical health elsewhere, where customer service matters. Truly sad to be leaving this review but it is what it is and people should be aware. Finally able to get through almost a week later, got hung up on when I asked to be removed from their client files. UNBELIEVABLE!
Had a 1030 appointment. Got there at 1030 and then had to stand in the check in line. By the time I was checked in it was 1045. I sat in waiting area for THIRTY MINUTES in addition to the 15 minutes in check in. The doctor was okay and nice. He was also caring. After my appointment it was another 10 minutes for check out. Needless to say, I will never coming back.
It took me multiple occasions to get through their phone systems. The front desk people act like robots. I do not remember this place being this awful but they have gone downhill significantly in the course of a year.
Save yourself a whole day of lost time and go elsewhere. Been a patient since 2019 and my next eye appointment will be with another clinic for sure.
The clinic was recently purchased by a big corporate. I would give it a ZERO ! It does not deserve even one star. Absolutely ridiculous that you cannot call in and change an appointment. No one called me back! I had to go to the business to change an appointment. They blame the phone company. I think it would have been fixed after almost 2 months. Unfortunately not a lot of other options for the same kind of services here in Spokane!
This place is wonderful once you actually get in. The appointments themselves are smooth and the doctors are great. But trying to reach someone to schedule or ask a follow-up question? It feels impossible.
I called on Monday to reschedule my son's appointment and to talk about some concerns with his patch therapy and diagnosis. I didn't hear back for days. When you call, you sit on hold forever until you're given the option to leave a voicemail... and then you just hope someone eventually calls back. I didn't get a return call until Friday, and it turned into a frustrating phone-tag situation.
It's really tough when you have a question about your child's diagnosis, and getting basic guidance feels like a struggle.
The Doctors are great, but I had to cancel my appointment as I was having heart surgery. I tried 15 times to reschedule, but was never able to speak to anyone.I just was put on hold for about five minutes. Three times I was able to leave a message and the rest of the time it would just hang up on me. It appears there is no way to speak to anyone unless you drive to their office. Very disappointed after being a customer for over 20 years
Absolutely no working phones, they cancel your appointment and the only way to reschedule is to physically come in. Then when you finally get here you wait for hours.. I've spoke with management and they said that they are aware and that the phones were switched in NOVEMBER and have never really worked but are hoping to fix the system some day. I canceled any care with them
