I have a history of corneal abrasions and had a new corneal abrasion and had to come in as a new patient as my old eye doctor unexpectedly stopped taking my insurance. This office was trying to do a regular eye exam on me despite my obvious pain and inability to keep my eye open and my insistence that we needed to stop the exam because it was causing more pain and possibly more damage to my eyes. Despite repeated requests to have a numbing drop to ease the pain so I could keep my eye open, I was denied. It was only after I broke down in tears, asking why they were making it worse instead of helping me that the doctor finally came in, but even then he did not give me a numbing drop until after he had tried to hold my eye open so that he could examine it. At that point, I was unable to keep my eye open and was shaking because I was in so much pain. After finally administering a numbing drop, he was able to examine my eye And prescribed Eyedrops. There was no sympathy of any kind for my pain and it was only when I was physically unable to keep my eye open and broke down in tears and shaking that they finally gave me the numbing drop that I needed. Definitely will not be going back nor will I be Recommending this office to anyone, especially if you are a new patient with an injury.

This place is amazing! I'd 1,000% recommend them! Several family members go here and all are treated well! My great aunt had a rare disease and he was able to figure it out quickly and get her to the right treatments. The doctor diagnosed my grandpa with macular degeneration very quickly when the eye doctor in Grandview WA said nothing was wrong. Clarity also took care of my son and his lazy eye and offered more attentive therapies resources through another clinic in tricities also. Their prices are fair and reasonable. I know they do accept state (Medicaid) for children at least. Not sure about adults. But absolutely lovely place!

The service my daughter and I received was superb!!! The staff is friendly and Dr.H was professional and talked me through everything he was doing with my daughter. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. Great experience!!!

I haven't gone back for my yearly check up in a few years cuz I live in Yakima now and go to school so I just can't get there but right from my very first visit, the Doctor and the staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Felt like I'd already been going there for years.

I've worn glasses all my life. I met doctor Duggan in 2002 when he worked in Yakima. When he left I was bumbed out; nevertheless I tried other doctors. Not the same! When u find someone who cares about your sight, is patient, respectful, and helps you out any way he can you don't let him go! Iv been following him ever since. Plus he has quality staff, they're great!! Highly recommend it.

I was very happy Clarity Eye Care took our insurance. Dr. H prescribed contacts that fit my daughter's eyes better than the previous prescription suggested by our last eyecare specialist. He took time to explain his findings while examining my eyes. The technician took her time to fit my new frames properly measuring several times until she knew she did it just right. Anxious to get my new glasses.

I've seen a lot of eye doctors in my time (I'm 55 and I've moved around a handful of times) and my first experience with Dr Hendrickson ranks as the best. Due to change of insurance with a new job, I had to look for a new eye doctor and Clarity Eye Care was not only close by but they also had great ratings on Yelp; they were not wrong. The entire staff was polite and professional. The info I had provided online when booking my appt was already printed out for me to review and sign when I arrived, saving me 10+ mins having to write all that out again on clipboard forms like you have to do at other doctor's offices - that right there was a new and appreciated experience. I was early for my appt because I thought there would be a lot of paperwork to fill out, but I didn't have to wait long before I was called (exactly on my appt time by the way). The asst who took me back to a pre-exam area took the time to explain what tests he was going to do and he even re-did one test he thought didn't register right because I moved my head a little. I then saw Dr Hendrickson, who was equally detailed in his exam. I opted for him to take the additional photos inside the eye to review areas around the macula and optic nerve - revealing all was good even though he took a good amount of time reviewing the pics and pointing things out to me that he looks for which was very much appreciated. We then went into another room where I read from the eye chart while he did the customary "Which is better, 1 or 2" lense adjustments to confirm and fine tune my Rx until I was able to read from 20/15 quite easisly. All in all, I felt like my eye health was always first and foremost in the mind of Dr Hendrickson and his entire staff. I'm definitely glad I picked Clarity Eye Care and will not hesitate recommending them to friends and family.
