SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Care

It's so sad that I've called three times last week and twice this week, and after waiting 20 minutes each time, I haven't had anyone take my call. I can only imagine that I'll have to wait a couple of years for appointments or drive two hours away... I'll have to go to some other chain, I guess. Saving time and a headache, I'll just call another option!

I have been ordering contacts at this specific clinic since I was 15 years old, I'm now 23. Like clockwork, every 3 months, I would call them to order my next box of contacts. For years the ladies that would answer my calls were always super nice and helpful and instantly knew how to bring up my previous order history for the start of the new order. I'd say within the last year, I've been having difficulties ordering contacts. They would tell me they couldn't "find me". So I'd tell them that I don't get seen by the Dr there. I get seen at a different clinic and take my yearly prescription to this one to order my contacts. (This is where my eye dr recommended I go all those years ago.) That explanation would always solve the issue of them finding whatever it is they find and my contacts would be ordered. I decided to start buying my contacts online just a few days ago due to this since I figured it would save this clinic the inconvenience of finding my order history and also me some time since I'm not technically their patient. I called them today again just to get the brand of contacts so I could start ordering them myself. Instantly the lady I talked to had a bad attitude and when I explained the situation to her (which I have explained to other people that helped me and they always figured out what I was talking about after a conversation) she said with a rude and condescending tone "Well that's not possible you have to be a patient of ours.". As if I haven't been buying my contacts there for the last 8 years and I was the crazy one calling an incorrect clinic. I'm not mad at the situation of her having a hard time finding my order history, that's why I decided to start ordering them myself. It's the rude and entitled tone in which she was speaking to a customer with. I would never conduct myself with a customer that way considering it's a clinic and professionalism should matter more. I would leave 0 stars but the experience I've had there for years has been great with previous employees. I would recommend a few classes on customer service conversations and how to ask curious questions. Not everything has to be a power struggle but rather getting to the root of things and figuring out how one can help.

doctor Lundgren was great to work with. The two people I had to work with to get lenses and frames were incredibly rued and unhelpful. I was trying to find a frame and after 5 mints he made the comment that "this one is going to take a while". if you need a new pair of glasses or lenses I would look for somewhere else.

Dr did a great job. Really seemed to care. Fitted me with my first contact lens. Couldn't be happier, seemed to nail the prescription. Went to Lens-Crafters last time and I don't think they took the time to get the prescription right.

Had cataract surgery on both eyes couldn't be happier. Drs are outstanding care was great and follow up apps went well. Will never go anywhere else would give 6 stars if possible!!!

Beyond rude. Don't know or care that their check-in system is wrong. Do yourself a favor - go elsewhere!
