This place is horrible. I made an appointment there because it was the closest to my home, but it was my first time going. The receptionist acted as if I had some mythical insurance because it wasn't state aid. She's on the phone with I suppose their insurance people acting so confused and couldn't even tell me a firm price on the contact lens exam. I should've walked out when I saw all of the dead bugs in the display case. I didn't bother seeing the eye doctor because it just wasn't worth my frustration for color contacts. I'll shop around.

I came here last year and had a not-so-great experience with the staff and would've rated this place 1 or 2 stars, but my family had appointments 2 weeks in a row and the new staff, the gals in the "office", are awesome. Very kind, informative and kid friendly, my daughter loved talking with them, one of them even went out and got books for the kids to read in the waiting area. A night and day change from the staff in the past who were rude and seemed like they hated their job. We all got glasses and my girlfriends glasses were ready in 8 days after being told they would be ready in 4 to 5 weeks. The selection of glasses, especially ones our insurance covers in full is extremely limited, that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

I had a great experience with Herslof. The eye exam was thorough and Paula did a great job setting me up with my progressive bi-focals, explaining all the different coatings I could have put on them to reduce glare as I'm light sensitive. Both women in the store were sweet as pie and extremely knowledgable. I feel confident that my eyes are in great shape between the exam I received and them fitting my glasses. My only "complaint", and it's not anything I believe they can do something about is the 3-5 week turnaround time it will take to get my new glasses.

Made an appointment for my son a month in advance, got to the appointment and was told his time slot was canceled due to non responding to a text message.
Which is absolutely absurd.
That doesn't take the cake though, I wanted to reschedule but the receptionist was loud mouthed and going on about how I was told that I had to respond.
She was rude, and non stop talking, not even the lady I was asking to reschedule with.
I will just pay the 69.99 at Americas Best.

Ordered glasses a full month ago, and they still aren't in. After calling and calling, I finally got ahold of someone (typically no one answers and there is no way to leave a message), and was told they would be in "early next week." Now when I call it doesn't even ring through. There is a message about "network difficulties" and it hangs up. If you can possibly go elsewhere for glasses, do so.
Updated to add: I did try calling the number provided in the response below, but the customer service extension hangs up on the call, and other extensions I tried went straight to a cryptic voice-mail "I'm only in on Tuesday and Wednesday." Still no glasses 5 weeks after ordering.

Terribly ran. Every single employee is rude. you have to wait a month to get a appointment. They canceled my appointment after i was already there for being 10 minutes late even though i was the last appointment of the day and it was still a hour until closing & nobody was in there. but when you show up and the doctor never came in is absolutely fine, they won't give you any heads up. I've been trying to get glasses fixed for months but the doctor doesn't get back to me. Filthy.

The ladies, sara and Sophia have been extremely helpful with information about the lack of attention to the call center to even book appointments. The call center to book appointments SUCKS!!!! I've called more then 20 times in a few hours and no one at the call center EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE AND WHEN THEY DID THEY ACTED LIKE I WAS AN INCONVENIENCE TO THEM AND THEIR TIME ON THEIR PHONES OR WHATEVER THEY THINK THAT THEY CAN DO OTHER THAN TAKE CUSTOMERS CALLS AND BOOK APPOINTMENTS LIKE THEIR SUPPOSED TO!!!!!! My suggestion would be to fire all of your call center and hire a whole brand new team thank you have a nice day
