I had a very disappointing experience with Lenskart recently, and I feel it’s important to share so that necessary steps can be taken to improve customer service. On the evening of April 20th, I received a call from the Lenskart delivery person for my recent order. Unfortunately, I wasn’t available to receive it at that time. He then offered a solution: with my consent, he could deliver the package to my nearest Lenskart store, which is located at Panchsheel 1 Market. Since that sounded convenient, I agreed. He assured me that the specs would be safely delivered there and I could collect them at my convenience. The next morning, I received a message from Lenskart saying that my order had been delivered. I was surprised, as I hadn’t personally received it. Assuming the package had reached the Panchsheel 1 store, I decided to go collect it. Before heading there, I called the store to confirm, but to my shock, they denied receiving any such order. Despite the confusion, I made the effort to walk to the store, which is about a kilometer from my house, in the scorching sun (I don’t own a vehicle). When I reached, the store manager was neither welcoming nor helpful. He outright denied any knowledge of the delivery and didn’t even attempt to check or understand the situation. He seemed unaware of the process that allows delivery agents to drop off packages at a store without an OTP, and worse, he almost made it seem like I was making up the story or didn’t have an actual order. To resolve things, I contacted the delivery agent again and handed over the phone to the store manager. The two had an argument, after which the manager reluctantly called another staff member who might have handled the delivery. Thankfully, that employee recalled some details and suggested where the package might be. After another round of searching, my order was finally found. While I’m relieved that I eventually received my order, the overall experience left a very bad impression. The store manager was unprofessional, uncooperative, and seemed completely disinterested in assisting a customer. Instead of calmly trying to help, he dismissed my concerns right away. If the delivery person hadn’t intervened, I might not have received my order at all. Lenskart, as a brand that prides itself on customer service and convenience, should ensure that their in-store staff is properly trained and respectful. Such incidents can ruin a customer’s trust. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and appropriate action is taken to improve staff behaviour and communication.
