Dr Shrikant is very experienced and Ex Head of Ophthalmology Department of BHU Medical Institute. He does thorough and detailed examination of the patient before giving any prescription and suggesting any procedure. This ensures right diagnosis and right treatment. My wife is diabetic and requires regular checkup. Our experience is he is the best.

I am not into writing reviews but this is important. While writing my review am not questioning the skills of Dr. Shrikant am just sharing my experience. In the month of Sept I had a Inflammation in my right eye and I consulted Dr. Shrikant in his clinic, he has given me steroid drops & other medicines & did all the tests which is nice as a Patient I really liked but it's his duty to explain everything and be little gentle with respect to conversation. Also in my 4 visits, he has given me injection in my eyes which I asked multiple times about this injection, he didnt explained anything about the same. In my last visit (3rd visit) e has given me a really high dose of oral steroids - high dose like you cant even imagine, though my family tried manytimes to ask why such high dose - his reply was I am the Dr and I know what am doing - accept it. Than I consulted multiple doctors across India about this dose and everyone said that irrespective of things this is a really high dose of steroids. So I immediately stopped it after 1day course. I met the other Eye Dr in Varanasi & he checked my eyes 3-4 times explained everything and convinced me that inflammation is resolved and you dont need any medicine. I didnt belived him and again I met this Dr after a week and he did the tests again and everything was normal. So basically high dose of steroids was not at all required. Its been 3 months and am doing perfectly well by god's grace. I consulted the other Dr. in Mumbai and he did all the checks and my eyes is perfectly fine. In the year of 2021-22 we expect our Dr to explain things and why are we getting this treatment this is a part of treatment to tell and explain & clear the doubts. Also, the fees & the tests are too costly with no rate cards, the compunder will come and give the quote and you have to pay. No swipe facility no UPI facility only deals in cash. He is a senior Dr with lot of experience sometimes while treating patients it happens am fine with it but transparency is the must if you are giving me an injection in my eyes you have to tell me why am getting this injection and why high dose of steroids and all. Also, if you have given a time at 4Pm and if we are there than see us on time. No rush in the clinic and still you have to wait for minimum 1hr. Like evrytime I was the first patient and everytime I waited atleast 1hr even after the appointment given by his compunder. I guess this is the issue from small cities where Dr and People for higher post has this arrogance and no professionalism. World has changed & change is new constant.
