Pathetic service infrastructure. To get initial receipt it took 1.5 hrs. And doctors asked to pay for further tests, which has to be done in the same counter, this again took 1 hr plus. By the time we paid for the tests, doctor left the hospital. We have to come tomorrow to consult again. I am surprised to see such bad management and careless attitude of the staff. No one cares about the patients, their time and health. Worst hospital experience ever.

Pathetic infrastructure and service. Just go there and see. Looks like a gov hospital from inside. Doc are always eager to do surgery, Always. Had to wait in emergency for literally 3 hr for a doc who were in OT, which make sense but there is no team who can assist, even they dont have enough beds in Emergency. Also, just go and check the cleanness… its beyond words. Dont visit if you have other options.

On March 25th, my father, who is approximately 80+ years old, fell ill. I took him to Ujala Cygnus Hospital in Haldwani. After getting an appointment with the doctor, he advised admitting my father. This happened around 2 PM. After that, I started the admission process, but the hospital staff made me run around so much that I can't even explain. Some told me to go to Room No. ...., and when I reached there, they said, "You are not supposed to come here first; you need to go to the rec......." When I went to the reception, they told me to go to Ayushman/CGS. I was harassed so much that I can't put it into words. This back-and-forth process continued until 7 PM, yet the documentation was still not complete. Somehow, I managed to get the documentation done by 7:30 PM, after which my father’s file was ready. But then, I was told that there were no available beds in ICU or HDU, so they couldn't admit my father. At this point, I created a huge scene and asked, "If you didn't have any beds, why did you take ₹2000 from me in the first place?" No one was ready to answer my question. Later, I met Neelam Pandey Ma’am, and I explained the entire situation to her. She understood my problem, scolded the staff, and somehow managed to arrange an HDU bed for my father. Finally, my father was admitted. After this, I calmed down and thought I should forget whatever happened. However, 48 hours later, my father was discharged. Since he had an Ayushman/CGS Card, I was confident that his treatment would be completely free. But when the discharge process started, the same drama began again. I was called to Ayushman/CGS, where they asked me to sign two papers—one was completely blank, and the other was a form that contained various details, including that the patient would receive free medicines for 15 days after discharge.(attached) When I read this, I asked the Ayushman/CGS staff, "Everything here is supposed to be free, but you are not providing any medicine?" To this, one of them threatened to tear up my papers, saying, "You will understand only when I tear up all your documents." Then, two or three staff members actually tried to tear my papers. At this point, I again sought help from Neelam Pandey Ma’am. She called the doctor and updated him about the matter. After this, I was finally provided with 5 days’ worth of free medicines, out of which 3 medicines were unavailable at the hospital, so I had to purchase them in cash. Then, I requested a bill from the Ayushman/CGS staff, but they refused to provide it. Throughout this entire ordeal, my father was kept waiting in a wheelchair. This hospital is in a terrible state, and I would never recommend it to anyone. I saw family members of every patient arguing and fighting with the staff over various issues. The only person who was genuinely helpful was Neelam Pandey Ma’am. She always stood up to help everyone and worked hard to solve their problems. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Neelam Pandey Ma’am, because without her, my father wouldn’t have been admitted.

I have been here around 3 times in past 2 months with my grandparents.. Doctors are good with respect to treatment.. Staff especially Nursing staff Pooja Arya and GDA are very kind.. Special mention to GDA staff Harshita, Manisha Bafila, Manisha arya and Sanjana Arya who nicely cares for patients admitted in 3rd floor 🙏
