Dr. Abhradip Das - Respiratory Medicine || Narayana Hospital - Barasat

Very bad doctor, as he doesn’t have any humility towards patients and their family members. My mother was admitted under him at Narayana Hospital, Barasat, due to pneumonia. He constantly pressured us to put my mother in the ICU so the hospital could exploit us financially. In just four days, the hospital billed me around 1.4L. Despite my mother’s condition improving, they refused to release her or move her to a general ward. He was uncooperative when asked questions about my mother’s ailment. They even falsely documented that my mother had hypertension as a pre-existing condition based solely on verbal communication with her, even though she had never been diagnosed or hospitalized for it before. This led to my mediclaim being rejected. Due to financial constraints and the hospital’s unethical practices, I had to discharge my mother against medical advice and pay the entire bill out of my own pocket. I just wonder how a doctor can be so rude, even though I was very polite from the beginning. I don’t recommend him at all. First, he should become humane enough to understand what a patient and their family are going through.
