Dr Nihar Munsi Eye Foundation

One of the best for eyes in Kolkata. The staff are very cordial and cooperative. The location is slightly in interior position but you can find through Google map or by asking locals. Various services related to eyes are provided here. This is my 4th visit and now I'm writing this review. So you can take my word. N.B: It is CGHS empanelled.

Like a govt. run public hospitals , lady staff at Reception and other areas are arrogant and not helpful . Doctors are never on time , appointment schedules are being cancelled without informing . Optometrist ladies are very not polite very rude in their behaviour . In summation there are lot of good eye clinics are in Kolkata . This one is best to be avoided .

Very poorly managed institute, non-transparent. One have to wait for more than 2 hours to visit a doctor. They are providing cumulative waiting number of multiple doctors but can't specifically inform when is your turn. All patients will be called at a single point of time which is totally illogical. Pathetic I must say.

Hygiene level is much praiseworthy. Well maintained hospital. Nice behaviour of support staff and receptionists. In charge of patient is an excellent staff.

I went to get my annual eye check up done during covid 19 lockdown scenario. The authorities focused a lot on hygiene, specially temperature screening and hand sanitisation. Masks are a must for entry. But the social distancing measures are not upto the mark. The registration hall in front of the waiting area is congested. But I am satisfied as the process was very smooth and there was no delay in the whole process. The staffs are friendly but my ma, who was also visiting the place along with me, found that the receptionist was incompetent in managing the work. My ma was given another date for tests that was supposed to be conducted on the same date but did not happen as the receptionist doesn't listen to patients properly. But for me, the overall experience was exemplary. My doctor, Bhaskar Mukherjee, is very polite and explains everything clearly. The consultation fees is Rs 300.

My father had his cataract operation done, experience was delightful! Stuffs were warm and helpful! Clinic is well maintained as well!

From taking the first appointment for a cataract surgery and when the patient was released post surgery, we found the clinic running very efficiently. All staff including the Reception and the helpers who lead the elderly patient to various check- up points ,were courteous and efficient. The clinic is clean and noise free - we recommend it highly

I was struggling with reading close recently and was referred by a close friend to go to Dr. Nihar Munsi eye foundation for a check up. The experience was very smooth, the testes were very comfortable. The facilities are fantastic and it's rather seem less. I also ordered for my new glasses at the store within the facilities, where the technician Mr. Tamal, was very kind to explain everything with patience and take my order. Also the glasses came in faster than expected. I highly recommend them in Calcutta if you need to get your eyes checked and sorted. They should be it. Thank you team and a special mention for Mr. Shayan Munsi for keeping the facilities with times and at par with places outside of Calcutta. Gratitude
