I had a disappointing experience at ASG Eye Hospital while trying to book an appointment for my father with Dr. Manas Choudhury. I was informed by the receptionist that due to a long queue, I would need to wait a few days and would be contacted later regarding the appointment. However, when I asked if there was any possibility of getting an appointment the same day, she flatly refused. What was more concerning was her tone and attitude—she then asked the purpose of the visit and, upon hearing it was for cataract surgery, suddenly began insisting we come the next day, but in a very pushy and unprofessional manner. It felt as though the priority was on pushing surgical procedures rather than genuinely caring for the patient’s needs. The experience left me with the impression that the hospital is more focused on increasing surgery numbers than on providing compassionate and respectful patient care. Very disappointing and unprofessional behavior.
I had a very bad experience in this hospital. I had taken my 4 year old son for the treatment as his eyes was watery. We had to wait for almost 3 hours for the doctor. After 3 hours Doctor arrives and tells my son being naughty ( chak chakey in nepali language) so he got this eye infection. Was that ok for a 4 year old child to say. Even in the school nowadays we give kids to explore and move around we follow child centric , trauma free learning mode but a qualified lady doctor labels a child this way. I am really disappointed dear Sir/ Maam. I am proper resident of Siliguri who is about 37 year old lady who is hypermyopic and wearing a spectacle ( - 10point on both side) since i was 8 years old. I have been constantly visiting almost all the eye hospital of siliguri but in this whole year of age i am experiencing this kind of rudeness from a professionalist that too from a doctor is the very first time. I accept my son was not standing still like a robot and following all the instructions but can we make a 4 year old to stay still after waiting for 3 long hours? Even the staffs were not allowing to touch the show piece which was kept. Which child will grow and develope without touching and exploring and looking .. observing.. asking??? If your hospital is not for the children then respected sir/ madam why is there an advertisement on the board / wall on 2 nd floor which says something like eye checkup for children below age 5 helps to rule out many other eye problems. ( not exactly this line some medical term is there). And even with the adults child/ kids come along ,,,, and like the adults can wait calmly but kids/ children they dont .. their age is that and we cannot control all the time. Offcourse being a parent / caregiver we do control them but thats child they like to see.. touch.. smell.. feel .. thats how they are develoving exploring and evolving … But your hospital fails in that. ASG might be a greatest hospital of India but if you fail to love and accept a child then a greatest success will also be meaningless and value less.. this is not just a feedback but this is the true emotion of a mother. I hope this message of mine finds to all those person who might feel my feelings. Thank you. God bless you all.
Staff is not well trained to welcome you so giving it 4 stars. But doctors treat you well which is the main purpose on visiting this place which is the main point of discussion. So 4 stars for that. I went there for my eye checkup and was very satisfied with the course of treatment i received. For the money I paid I got a good service though I would prefer if the staff at the reception was well trained to be more welcoming.
I am giving a 1 rating just for the simple reason the support staffs are not very well managed and seldom does so many mistakes. Citing one example below,like my mother's file was at 1st in the queue but we were called at last.
Hello, our family have been a regular visitor of ASG Siliguri and my father's eye surgery was also done here. My previous experiences here was really good and that's why I have always recommended ASG to my family and friends but my last experience in ASG was pathetic. I have visited ASG Eye Hospital after taking prior appointment but once I reached there I was told that that doctor is not available now and I had to come back home without the eye check-up.The customer service needs to get better.
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the appointment process for Dr. Chaudhary. I initially called the hospital on December 28, 2024, to schedule an appointment and was advised to call back on January 2, 2025. When I followed up on that date, I was assured that I would receive an appointment during the second week of January. However, today, January 20, I called again and learned that there is still no appointment available. The staff informed me that there are currently 100 people waiting before me for appointments with Dr. Chaudhary, and I would be notified about available dates in a few weeks or so months. I must express my frustration with this situation. It feels as though I am navigating a system in a foreign country, where waiting for months for an appointment has become the norm. I believe that the staff could greatly benefit from training in customer service, as the communication I have received has been inconsistent and, at times, misleading. Upon reviewing feedback from other patients, I found that many have shared similar concerns regarding staff interactions. I kindly request that management take these issues into consideration and ensure that staff are well-trained to provide accurate information and support to patients. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope for a prompt resolution so that patients can receive the care they need in a timely manner.
Management doesn't know how to value time and the doctors here act like they are working for a Govt. Hospital. Time Management is something this Siliguri chain should work on, other ASG chains are doing pretty good job when compared to this branch. This is my second experience and total waste of my time.
