Medical Arts Eye Clinic & Optical

First of all, GPS led me to a street beside the mall from where I could SEE the office building but not enter! Even though this is not the staff's fault, it would be nice to be told that when you make the appointment. HOWEVER, a staff member went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get me to the office. She talked me there while on the phone! In all my almost 30 years of being sick and going to so many doctors' offices I literally can't count, no one has EVER done anything like that or even offered. Getting lost made me late AND I forgot my wallet so I was a bit of trouble, but received no complaints or rudeness. This staff was one of the best I've ever encountered. They were an absolute pleasure from reception to back room! The doctor, on the other hand, didn't even speak to me when he entered the room... I've never encountered that either lol. He offered no info. I had to ask questions about everything and didn't feel they were welcome or not ... Just nothing. I was torn on how to rate because of the Dr, hence, the three stars. Will return for follow-up to see how things proceed. I'm not giving up just yet. Maybe he was having a bad day. Will edit review if it's better next time. EDITED: At my follow-up, Dr.Anz was very nice and informative! I honestly had decided I would just go back once but I am sure I'll continue to see him. I feel comfortable that I can trust him with the care of my eyes. He is very knowledgeable and I appreciate that he was also thorough. The doctor I saw previously just put me on drops for increased pressure but Dr Az made sure nothing had been affected negatively thus far, putting me at ease. Anyone can have a bad day so I gave up the other two stars. The fact that this office is requiring masks right now (and provided one to a gentleman) is a PLUS! AND I found a workaround for GPS: just put in the street name, not the building number and it'll take you right to it.

I was referred to this clinic from an urgent care, and an appointment was made for me. I had a severe viral infection in my eyes, and as you can imagine, I was in pain and eager for relief. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was told by the front desk staff that there was no appointment for me on file. I showed them my referral sheet with the doctor's name and appointment time. They continued to refuse me and tell me I had no appointment. The woman checking patients in was very kind and tried her best to help me in a difficult situation. The rest of their office staff was the epitome of unprofessional. Rude, refusing service to a person with an appointment. Yelling, rolling eyes, and snatching papers. My five year old knows better than to act that way. When I called the urgent care and confirmed that I did have an appointment, the Medical Arts Eye Clinic staff tried to cover their mistake by saying they'd been given the wrong name for the appointment, even though my medical records were sent in my name.... No apology offered. No kindness shown to a patient in severe pain. I will never go to this office again. I will find any other eye care provider in the county before I would let these rude people treat me ever again.

I have made 3 visits to his office and will not return. Dr. Anz might be wonderful but I have decided that he does not work for me. I am an educated person, but I was treated that way. His only direct comment to me was "move your purse."

Let me first note I do not Dr here and only went in for a glasses adjustment several years ago (early 2021, I believe) as I lived in Auburn. I only discovered the impact this year when I updated my lens prescription. I purchased my eyeglasses from my eye Dr (Omaha, NE) and had them mailed to me; however, they needed minor adjustments. These were a pair of Chanel glasses updated from my current frame only by color, meaning I knew how they should fit. The individual who helped me, I believe, was an older man who attempted to adjust my glasses. I remember walking out of there, just glad he didn't break my glasses, and figured I could suffer until I could get them adjusted back in Omaha at my eye Dr who cares and knows how to adjust glasses. Until I did, the glasses rubbed a sore on the back of my ears. After my Omaha eye office attempted to adjust them back into shape, my ear pieces were better, but the frames still fell off my face continuously, and the sides for the ears were still bent out of wack from the Auburn office, an insane amount essentially unfixable. Mind you, I have a previous pair that only differed in color, and I knew how they should fit. Flash forward to yesterday, when I was at my Omaha Dr - after being fitted for a new pair of glasses; I asked the individual helping me if they could switch the lens from my current Chanel glasses to the older pair that fits perfectly, as they only differ in color. Well, low and behold, the incompetent man at Medical Arts Eye Clinic & Optical applied extreme heat and warped the bridge, lens, and rims, stretching all of these parts out. Because of this incompetent individual, I constantly had to push up my glasses, had sores on the backs of my ears, my glasses were damaged, and I was unable to switch the lens in my frames that only differed in color. Because of the warped frame, it is impossible to switch the warped lenses from the current pair of glasses to the old ones, which only differed in color before they were "adjusted" at Medical Arts Eye Clinic & Optical. I would not recommend going here to have your glasses adjusted here.

They've started playing SO MANY youtube ads, which is annoying. But also reminded me how much I disliked my experience here. The doctor is unpleasant, and unfriendly. There are plenty of eye doctors in the area who will make you feel like a human being who deserves care. Go to them.

the place is extremely hard to find via Google Map, it led me to the Mall Pkwy and your car won't be able to enter from there. As soon as I get there, the doctor or receptionist or whatever title guy was very rude and impatient. Wouldn't recommend this place since we have so many other options in AU-Opelika area.

My sunglasses had a stripped screw that needed removed so that I could insert the replacement lenses that I purchased online. Not only did the kind man who works there remove the screw, but he also replaced the lenses and adjusted my glasses for me.

I am a Veteran that moved to Dadeville. I have Insurance and need help. They WOULD NOT HELP ME! They told me to go back to the VA that is 2 hours away! I have a simple dry eye problem and they WOULD NOT HELP ME!!! Horrible people!!!
