Costco Optical Department

I had the best experience at the Costco store in the optical department in Mobile Alabama Angele & Scott were so nice. Angele went above & beyond to find my insurance provider. When I thanked her she said that is what I am here for you matter to us at Costco. Thank you Costco for everything

I had a great experience with Costco today. I had an eye exam and the doctor was a super guy. He was very very thorough and took all the time needed to get the prescription right. Answered every question and even made a number of suggestions for eye care. I then went and picked out a frame for new glasses. Annette helped me several days ago when I was looking at frames prior to exam. Today she was there and helped me throughout. Very nice and very professional. I ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses cheaper than the pair I am wearing right now. I am glad I tried Costco.

Dr. Haggard and his staff were absolutely amazing! So kind and helpful and went above and beyond for me. Dr. Haggard personally went out of his way to help me learn how to use contacts and every step of the exam he explained everything in detail and educated me so much regarding my eye health. Highly recommend Dr. Haggard!

Had an eye exam with Doctor Haggard, the independent optometrist inside the vision center, for glasses and contacts. Left a voicemail to make an appointment, per the instructions in the voicemail greeting. Was called that afternoon and scheduled within the window of time wanted. Arrived a few minutes early to fill out paperwork, since I was a new patient. Did wait a little bit, but not long. Dr. Haggard was friendly and respected my time. Was in and out quickly, with a hard copy of my prescription to use in the vision center or take elsewhere. No pressure to have to have it filled there. I highly recommend!

We saved so much money my taking my mother's prescription to the eye center! Angel is professional and always on top of things! My only complaint is there should be a sign in sheet to be served for glasses and some seats for waiting. People that got there after me lied and said they were there earlier (the workers were late so they didn't know). A couple who came from the doctor after us was also seen first. They took a good 40 minutes between the two of them while my mom and I stood waiting. After waiting an initial 40 minutes for a worker to show up. I have health issues and standing is incredibly painful. We were eventually helped and Angel handled the chaos well, but it could have been avoided with a simple sign in sheet with why people were there. We could have been out in 15 minutes and instead were there 2 hours.

THIS REVIEW IS NOT ON THE DOCTOR- HE IS GREAT. BUT- The Customer service rep that answered my call was very rude and not very willing to help. I need my glasses case replaced, she asked what brand and seemed attitudey when I told her. She then told me to go to eBay or Amazon?? I definitely wasn't expecting Costco to replace my case, but I was hoping for decent customer service, which would have been information on a reputable website/contact to have my glasses case replaced.

Greatest experience I've had with an optometrist. Professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable.They have a set of very modern equipment that goes above and beyond your typical eye exam. Dr. Steve Billitz corrected my vision to 20/10, and I was able to see fine details and small text at a distance better than ever. Good thing to know: You do not have to be a Costco member to schedule an appointment. You DO, however, have to be one to purchase glasses there.
