Affordable Eyewear

My experience was not the most pleasant. I called, as a professional, on behalf of a Medicaid-recipient and the personnel with whom I spoke with became very irate and irritated with our conversation because I simply asked about the "free" glasses advertised by Medicaid. The staff personnel had a heightened tone and accused me of coming into his life to cause trouble. I assured him that I was strictly calling as a concerned advocate for my visually-impaired client. His conversation continued to be aggressive and did not end on a positive note to remedy or offer suggestions for the client. His final words were that maybe "Medicaid should take [him] of their list if the customer is not satisfied".

Horrible. The woman working there was very very rude. They told me they couldn't fit my 1 year old special needs child because she moved the first time she attempted to put them on her face. The owner told me I'm letting my daughter take advantage of me and she will do it all her life. She is 1 and has down syndrome. How can she take advantage of anyone??? They didn't even try to help me. I left in tears. Worst experience I have had in a business in a long time.

I have been taking my children to the Governor's Square location for several years. Today I took my 13-year-old girl, selected new frames, and ordered. When we left my daughter said, "Now that's what I call customer service." Growing up in a small town in another era I have to say it feels a little like a throw-back to another time: When we could conduct business simply and conveniently; walk in a place; they know you and know what you like; notice things that need to be taken care of and just do it. Dependable. Affordable. Straight-shooters. You'll leave feeling like a human being.

Wow! This was the best optometry/eyewear experience I've ever had stateside. Rivals my great experiences in Japan/Korea with glasses. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff was extremely helpful in finding the right frames for my Wife, who could not be happier. Gave her the premium anti scratch/glare lenses for very little extra, and put RX lenses in her Ray Bans for next to nothing. 1 day turnaround. Will return if the need arises!

Horrible, horrible experience. The customer service is below average. They spent the majority of the time complaining about other customers. They really seemed upset over customers calling and checking on their glasses. They really really stressed to me NOT to ever call and see if my glasses were back yet (I wasn't and I didn't). After some time I tried to order glasses online and needed my PD number so I called this eyewear place to get it....the lady said "I'm busy. I will call you back in 1-2 days and I will get it for you.". *sigh* That was a month ago....no call. I just called back and she said "oh yes...hold"...and then comes a man on the line and said "Ma'am have you ever heard of HIPPA?" *sigh* I politely said "yes sir" and he promptly goes on a tangent about people and their "not so smart phones". After a while of listening to him go on and on about who did my exam...different PD apps...etc...I had to interrupt and ask "..excuse me sir...does this mean you will not give me the PD number?"...he said "that's correct" and hung up in my face. If I could not get it from them, that is totally fine....but that should have been told to me one month ago. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Poor customer service. No communication. Lost prescription then lost the glasses 3 times. Waited over a month for it and they said they called but no record. Then they said they filed it under a different name. They didn't even apologize.

Nice people. Glasses were so so but at the time Medicaid paid for extremely cheaply made frames. They lasted 18 months. Now Medicaid doesn't cover the cost for the frames. That's why I'm not sure about the next visit., since they're the ones that Medicaid approves of.

Horrible Experience. They ordered me the wrong eyeglasses - so I end up with two glasses. One was changed to sunglasses and the other pair still do not fit right or hard to see out of. do not waste your time or your money on this place. .
