Carmichael Optical Shoppe

My experience with Carmichael Optical has been very disappointing. I purchased a pair of glasses from them recently and paid nearly $600 for them. I paid for transition lens but they never worked right. They never darkened when I was in my car or outside. After taking them back to the store the lady who works there said "put them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before going outside". I could not believe she said that to a customer. After many useless trips back to the shop, I just gave up. She said she could not do anything for me. Learned my lesson. Don't recommend or shop at Carmichael Optical again?

I have been repeatedly frustrated and disappointed with this business. We were rushed to purchase glasses for my child from this Optical Shoppe by our eye doctor who shares the building. In every step I have been pressured to spend more money. After multiple visits and buying a pair of glasses from this Shoppe, I requested a copy of the prescription in order to obtain a second opinion and second pair of glasses and the doctors office gave me a partial prescription and told me I needed to obtain the remaining information from the Optical Shoppe. Upon request for the information, the Optical Shoppe informed me that they would charge me $35 for each piece of information I needed. I am appalled that it is even legal for a doctors office and shop to withhold my child's information. I question the ethics of this operation and will not be purchasing from this business again.

Dr. Ward is horrible with children she wasnt very patient and didnt give me any information about my daughters condition. I felt that the service was demeaning due to the insurance coverage my daughter has. My daughter is 4! Anyone working with children should know that their attention span and sitting completely still isnt possible without a distraction or attention grabber. The eye exam pictures were projected off a wall to a mirror. The assistant didnt use a pointer on which characters to identify. I wont be returning or referring anyone to this office. No matter what health care insurance a patient has it doesnt depict the care or how effectively I can do my job. Never again.

I and my family members have always received top-notch service here. They remember us when we come in and make sure that we're happy with the glasses.

The workers at the optical shop are amazingly friendly and upbeat. They do everything they can to make sure you are a satisfied customer and they don't mind helping you save a little money, too.
