My family has used them for a few years. We had to stop using them, cause you have to pay your copayment or extra fees up front to order your glasses or contacts. The problem with this is, as we've recently experienced. We had a debt collector call us with a bill, after we've already paid what should of been the total amount in the clinic office! They have a serious disconnect between the actual clinic, and the billing department that needs to get fixed ASAP! We stopped going to Callahan because of this, and started going to LensCrafters! LensCrafters is running circles around Callahan, the LensCrafters experience is exceptional, in every way possible! LensCrafters price you pay the day of your exam, and picking your frames has been the final price everytime! So I highly recommend LensCrafters over Callahan eye clinic!!!!!!!!!!

I liked the doctor. My concern is my BCBS FEP vision insurance has this provider listed as a full service provider, and when I called to make my husband's appointment I specifically asked if they did glasses using our insurance plan and was told yes. We get to the appointment and was told they do not accept our insurance for glasses. Somewhere there is a breakdown in communication.

Trying to reach them by phone is a nightmare of WAITING The computer system (UAB) answers the call, you follow the prompts, then wait and wait and wait, until you just give up.
If I'm calling a doctors office, that means I NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE!!!!! I've been "tolerating the system recording" for 15 minutes @ this point in time

My review is not on the doctor....she is ok. This review is on Kimberly the lady who does the glasses. She oversells you on things you don't really want and tells you she will fix whatever you don't like. Then, if you do decide something doesn't work for you, she acts all offended. I am done with this office :(
