Carried my prescription for glasses there. My first visit was fine I picked my frames.When my glasses came back from lab could not see to read .The bifocals was put in the wrong place so sent my glasses back for a bifocal change. Nearly two weeks I picked up my glasses , bifocals ok , but when I cleaned them the lenses slipped badly in the frames. So I was told a new pair of glasses would be ordered ,and she did some kind of temporary fix on mine.and they came back a little over three weeks , then she wanted to take the lenses out of the new frames and put in the old frames , which now had been reworked two times . Even told me that was agreed on but I wasn't told that. I now have the new glasses and when I cleaned the first time, yep the lenses slides around in the frames. Glasses are too expensive for shoddy work and shoddy customer service.

I had a kind of terrible experience here, they told me my glasses would be ready in one week and they took 5 weeks to be ready. I called at week two and was told they had to be sent out to a special lab and they didn't know how much longer they would take. they wouldn't have informed me of any of this if I hadn't called and inquired. I called again at week three and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and dismissed my questions and hung up. this came as a surprise because until this point everyone had at least been nice to me even if they were pretty unprofessional and didn't keep me updated. week 4 I called again, and I was told the special lab my glasses were sent to had fallen through and they were being returned to the facility here in Tuscaloosa and would be ready the following week. Again, I would not have been updated on this had I not called. at this point it was four times the original amount of time they had told me my glasses would take to be made. finally, a week later I received the call that my glasses were ready. 5 whole weeks after my order had been placed. Had I not called regularly I wouldn't have been updated that it would be longer than a week, let alone 5x that amount. other than the one rude lady on the phone everyone was nice, just very unprofessional and VERY untimely. vision isn't something you mess around with, I needed my glasses much sooner than 5 weeks. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else.

I received an eye exam at the opthamolgist located in the same building (700 Helen Keller Blvd). Could not find a pair of glasses at this store, so found my old pair online. Needed a pupil distance measurement to complete the order, and since they were not busy with customers, I asked if they could help me. Shea explained that was not possible. Two thumbs down on customer service. Why are optometry centers located in ophthalmologist offices if they will not help their patients??

The staff is very friendly and patient.My glasses were ready very fast.Thank You.

Great group of folks. Enjoy having Dr. Davis check my eyes and being able to order my contacts and glasses in office.
