I found out I needed surgery last July. I was terrified. I do not like anyone working on my eyes. I've worn glasses for over 38 years. I was comfortable with them. Then I was told I had cataracts. Surgery. I was not happy at all. I'm to retire in 5 months and I was worried about insurance coverage and the copay. I really shouldn't have worried. Everyone from the admin, nurses and my doctor were wonderful. Everything was explained to me at every step of the way. Not wearing glasses will take some getting used to! My eyesight is actually better than if I was wearing my latest prescription. The fact that I can see better than ever before and that it will last my lifetime sold me on the procedure. I had a total hip replacement 6 months ago after struggling with pain for over two years. I don't know why I waited so long to be pain free. I looked at this surgery the same way. Why did I wait so long?
Great team of professionals. I highly recommend.
Sometimes the wait times in here are pretty lengthy , however, this clinic is absolutely clean and professional, and I look forward to coming here! The staff is really friendly and I've never had any problems here whatsoever! They keep their waiting room stocked with little snacks and drinks too which is a huge plus , really adds to the ambience of the whole experience.
I recently underwent cataract surgery performed by Dr. Townley at Mountain View Eye Center in Fairbanks, Alaska, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the care and results I received. From the initial consultation through to post-operative follow-ups, the staff at Mountain View Eye Center and Dr. Townley was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly reassuring. They took the time to clearly explain what cataracts are, how the surgery works, and what to expect during recovery. Their calm and confident approach immediately eased any anxiety I had. This was very important to me, as this was my very first surgery.
The day of the surgery went exceptionally smoothly. The facility was modern, clean, and well-organized, and every member of the staff-from the front desk to the surgical team-was kind, efficient, and supportive. Dr. Townley walked me through the procedure step-by-step, and I felt completely safe in his care.
Recovery was surprisingly easier than I expected. I experienced minimal discomfort, and my vision began to improve within just a couple of days. Dr. Townley followed up personally to ensure everything was healing properly and that I was comfortable throughout the recovery process.
Thanks to Dr. Townley and the incredible team at Mountain View Eye Center, my vision is clearer and brighter than it has been in years. I'm beyond grateful for their expertise and compassionate care. If you're considering cataract surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Townley. Their professionalism, surgical skill, and patient-first approach are second to none.
Thank you!!!!
I went to Mountain View Eye Center for a blepharoplasty. Dr. Kearsley and her team were amazing. She took great care during the procedure to make sure I was comfortable and did a thorough job. Post-procedure care has been detailed and she has made sure that I'm completely happy with the way my eyelids are healing. Would highly recommend Dr. Kearsley and Mountain View Eye Center.
The staff are always nice and stays on task. I've seen a few different doctors. Not a fan with feeling like I have to start over. I've been go to this eye clinic for about 4 to 5 years now.The doctor I recent seen that is VA credentialed seems to surpass her previous doctors at Mountain View eye clinic. If the clinic can keep her on for awhile it'll make me real happy.
She seems to be resourceful
With my eyes and the deteriorating vision from the strokes. I always get my diabetic eye exam.
The new prescription they gave me for driving glasses was off by more than a little bit. When I wanted to schedule an appointment for a follow-up they insisted to get paid for another examination by insurance (or me), my personal needs took a back seat to the billing. After that I decided to find a different eye doctor. Their facility is very modern tho, if that matters to you.
I must receive an eye injection each month. I've been coming to Mountain View Eye Center since moving here 10 months ago. The staff and Dr. Kearsly are a pleasure to have as caregivers. They are friendly and professional, always on the ball in each situation. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
Very professional and efficient. I chose to get the premium lenses as I felt these would give me a greater range of vision. I chose the Vivity because it is continuous from distance to mid-range but may falter in the near vision. The Panoptix is said to give good distance and near vision, but, I am told, has a gap in the mid-range. I felt that the Vivity would have more continuity. Hope this helps.
