I completed my glasses and contacts exam here on Jan 7. Dr. Schmalle was really nice and listened to my concerns. I ordered some Ray Ban glasses (total for frame and lenses was $759.95 my insurance paid $596.99 so out of pocket i paid $162.96) and was told they would arrive in 14 days. I had a follow up contact exam 13 days later. When I asked employee number 107207 (a female) if my glasses arrived she very rudely said, "You will get a text message when your glasses are ready." She didnt even try to check on my order. So I went home and waited.
On 2/10/26 I called to check on my order status and my glasses were in along with the contacts I ordered on 1/20/26. Which is funny because I never received a text message. Then when I went to pick up my glasses the younger guy at the front handed me my glasses and a mirror then walked away to continued his conversation with his other coworker. I tried on my glasses and I guess that was it. Between the AI phone answering system, paying that much for glasses and contacts, and the in person interactions....I will seek my vision needs else where. Honestly this is the customer service I expect in Casa Grande and I knew better.

I have been going to Visionworks for over 10yrs. I had the worst customer service today 12/5/25 in all the years Ive been going there. They just lost a customer. Never apologized for the situation just told me to sit and wait.
The manager should be fired. And learn to listen to concernes customers have and approach the situation with a helpful and compassionate attitude. Not blame the customer for something they did not do.
PLEASE EVERYONE GO TO A DIFFERENT COMPANY.!!!
So, today I went to Americas Best for my yearly eye exam. What a wonderful experience. The place is warm and inviting. All the staff friendly , helpful and professional.
The Doctor was great. And the prices for new glasses were cheaper and got more then at Visionworks. I guess my bad experience at Visionworks turned into a wonderful experience at Americas Best.
You all should check it out.

Nicholas goes above and beyond! He really knows his job and does it well!! He and Carrie are the reason I drive to the Chandler location instead of using the Casa Grande location. Knowledge, friendliness and for sure helpfulness!! When you wear glasses 24/7 it's important that they feel good and work and if they don't they find a solution instead of say well there isn't anything I can do!! And this team excels at this!!!

I want to say that no one was rude, or mean. The dr I saw was kind and thorough. That being said, I will not return. It felt like a skeezy used car dealer. Just pushing everyone through like hoarding sheep. The glasses they had to look at were all dirty and the lower cost samples were mostly broken, dirty and all around run down. the process they have set up is set to maximize how much money they can get from you and your insurance. which, duh right, capitalism or whatever but maybe try to make it less obvious? clean the glasses, pay the people that work there a higher wage so they do not so visibly hate their jobs. With how much money people are spending there, a lot more can be done to make the experience feel more personal and pleasant. A huge corporation can afford to pay employees better and curate an experience that doesn't feel like a money grab.

Everyone here has a terrible customer service attitude. They all seem to be mad all the time and looks annoyed if you ask questions. My appointment was rescheduled and no one called me. I've been waiting for my contacts since 10/29/25... The only friendly people here are the Doctors and a young guy that helps when you're checking out and paying for your glasses.
