The staff and ophthalmologist were awesome. I had am urgent issue that resulted in going to an ER, and they sent me to BDP Eye Center. They were very accommodating and professional in examining and diagnosing my particular issue. They took care of getting me referred toa retinal surgeon to address the issue with my eye. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their eyes taken care of!
Prime location atmosphere. Clean and uniformed presentation of office style. Impersonal check-in via kiosk that scans ID & Insurance cards. Waiting time 15-20 minutes after appt time. Depending the tech that greets you-chatty / formal initial test with / without dilation. You then are directed to join another waiting room before different tech preforms scan and photo of eyes. After which you are on your way to the ophthalmologist chair.
Well, unfortunately, I did not have the outcome that I expected with my cataract surgery. I chose the $4200 option where I'm supposed to have Vision at arms length and far away, at the very least. I can see quite well at a distance, but I still cannot see close-up. I pretty much had to demand that they use the Laser on me to try and fix the problem, and they finally did and I can see a little bit better, but still not at all how I thought I'd be able to see. I was also told that would improve my night vision, but it has not as I see streaks coming out of lights now at night. Very disappointing, and the doctor told me that maybe when it's time to do my other eye, I might want to choose the option that is covered by Medicare since I didn't have the success I wanted when I paid $4200. Kind of blew my mind when she said that, as basically she was admitting it wasn't as successful as it was supposed to be, but didn't offer any other alternatives. I can't recommend this place, unfortunately.
I was at another office and was told a procedure was not covered by insurance but that it was covered at this office by their office staff and the doctor. I even waited over an hour before to confirm everything was authorized. I Received a bill for $600 seven months later! Got the runaround from their billing department and their assistant manager and manager. Last month the manager told me "don't pay the bill" and I confirmed it wouldn't be sent to collections, she said "no " so I was surprised when I got a letter from the collection agency yesterday!!! Beware of what they tell you as I have experienced it's false!
Fr9nt office guy was very rude and condescending. They have seen my sister many times and always need me to come in. She is Developmentally delayed but she can answer their basic questions. But the guy that called was offensive and a piece of work. I was at a doctor's office when they called to tell me they wont see her, and the staff heard how rude he was then he claimed I was the rude one before hanging up on me. All 6 of the staff that heard the conversation said they couldn't believe the way he treated me. Never go to this place, ill be finding another location that hires competent ppl. Pure waste
Experience was alright. Not the best I've been to. Dr. Hauptman was nice and that went well. Other than that I sat in the waiting room for 30 mins so that's fine I guess. I got my eyes dilated and the staff didn't put the numbing drops in fully in one eye and for the other eye drops that are to lubricate and cleanse out the numbing drops she didn't put that fully in either. Her response was "I think I got it" after I said I don't think it went in. That was on Friday and my eyes still burn even after using eye drops from home.
Lastly, when I was looking at glasses I honestly felt rushed as he sat and watched. Kinda laughed a little. I'm going to take my time because my glasses are about $900.
So yeah idk it was fine but I wouldn't get my eyes dilated there again or order glasses from them. You can definitely find some cheaper elsewhere.
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION, A-Z. Dr. Gilford is by far the most knowledgeable OD I have ever experienced in 40 years across four states . Cataract surgery mid-September in WA state. Vision has deteriorated. Dr. Gifford diagnosed the cause, explained it in detail and prescribed the medication to fix it. 24 hours later, vision is much better! If you want the VERY BEST, it's Dr. Gilford!
I have had a terrible experience, dealing with Barnett and Delaney. I had cataract surgery, which was a long drawn out process only till the very final meeting was I told what it was going to cost me. After spending $5000 now I have to have Lasik Procedure!!! You are always seeing different doctors different assistance. At one point, my eye readings were Documented in the opposite eyes before surgery, causing an additional appointment and much worry as to what was happening with my vision. Then only to find out I could not get a handwritten prescription to purchase eyeglasses elsewhere unless I wanted to pay an additional $65.
Now I am being told I have excessive dry eyes however I was never told any of that before any procedure, and I was also told even the Lasik may not improve the hazing in my eyes!!!!!!
Feeling very frustrated and disappointed in this company.
