Our family moved to Schwartz after being at the same vision care for many years and change of ownership. We love Dr Bloomenstein. He found something in my eyes that had never been noted before and helped to ensure I got answers quickly. In addition, he is just a great guy. Very good with older kids and adults. Can't say enough good things about him. In addition, optical is always so helpful - Michelle is our go-to and she is always so amazing to our family.

The people are very nice, but they can't manage time or appointments to save their lives. My eye exam took 2 hours while waiting for the Dr. I went in to have my eye looked at another time and they were 40 minutes late in getting to me & said that they only had 2 drs working. I just went today and was told that they're really backup with several appointments in front of me even though I was on time for my appointment "sorry, we only have 2 drs on Thursdays". Why did you set an appointment with me when you knew you couldn't see me on time? Never again, I should have read all of the bad reviews. Also, I overheard a guy buying 2 pairs of glasses, $1600, he stopped and didn't pay, what a ripoff!

Pretty fed up with this place. I've gone here for about 20 years now and the last 3 years has gone down the drain. I usually spend days or weeks trying to get ahold of them. I text, call, leave voicemail messages to end up hearing nothing back. This has happened multiple times now. My mom and uncle even let me know they're having the same issues. I am done. Save yourself the time and energy and go somewhere that actually has people work and answer the phone!

I saw Dr Schwartz 2 years ago ( 2022). Was very impressed with his Scottsdale office. I had the free 2 hour in-depth eye screening because I have been wearing 2.5 reading glasses for many years now. Went to see if there is anything that I can do to fix the problem. Hoping that insurance would pay for some I waited another 2 years to see Dr Schwartz again in October 2024. Came to the realization that only Lens replacement surgery would fix the problem of me needing to wear reading glasses. I had 20/20 vision for distance. Just wanted to fix the near vision. Went ahead and had both eyes done in Nov. 2024. Unfortunately insurance did not pay for anything. Went with the new Odyssey multifocal lenses. The surgery went smoothly, the ladies at the front desk and surgery center were friendly, helpful and professional. The office was very efficient and fast and I had an absolutely positive experience at both the Scottsdale and Glendale offices. Highly recommend this place!

After being told by my eye doctor in Jan that my cataracts in both eyes have gotten worse which was why my new glasses were not helping but that it wasn't bad enough for me to qualify for cataract surgery. Wrong. I was referred by a friend to go see Schwartz Laser Eye Center. I saw Dr Birdsong and was told I definitely qualify and discussed my options. I scheduled my LAL surgery end of June and as of today treatments are complete and no more glasses. Dr Birdsong was terrific as was all the staff. Never had any issues and it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend.

I have going to this office for many years. Staff have been good, and Dr. Bloomenstein, is the best. I had my annual exam scheduled for March 2024 and a day before they called to cancel it. Ok, no worries stuff happens. I rescheduled it and said two times I wanted the Glendale office, I show up to my rescheduled appointment the office is packed with clients. He girl tells me appointment is in Scottsdale. I assured her one of their employees made that mistake. She never called the office to let them know. When I left, I called the Scottsdale office to let them know about their screw up and I wouldn't be going there. Fast forward to last week. I called and made the appointment for today, July 9, 2024. I have been sitting her for 50 minutes waiting for the only doctor here to check my dilated eyes. She is running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Why would you make so many appointments at once that patients are waiting excessive amounts of time to be seen. At one point they put me back in the waiting room after they dilated my eyes because they needed the room. Then literally a couple minutes later they put me back in the same room. I understand doctors taking time with each patient but this is ridiculous.

Worst experience that I have ever had in my life. The Scottsdale office is top notch, but run away as fast as you can from Glendale. The office manager, Tamara, is rude dismissive and underwhelming. It is so disheartening because I really liked the ophthalmologist and his assistant. They were both amazing. Unfortunately, the office manager does not know how to run a smooth office- so sad that her negativity ruins the patient's experience.

Honestly, they deserve not even a one star. I am so frustrated with their service I will never go back and will make sure no one I know will go here. The Doctor was great when I had my two exams one for a Lasik consult and another for pink eye. The individuals at the counter were polite and welcoming but it was only downhill from that. They are not upfront with their prices and claim they didn't know how much insurance would cover when my regular eye center Advanced Eye Care and Nationwide would tell me the price upfront. I was charged $713 on 11/19/21 and was told it would be here in a couple weeks. I called them three times and left messages and never received an answer until I called once again. Upon arrival (1/5/22 much longer than the two weeks I was told) I sent my son to pickup the glasses they wanted an additional $215 that was never discussed to give us the glasses. We paid it because I've already waited a while and needed them. To make things even worse, I received another bill in the mail for an additional $215..... again, this was NEVER discussed!!!! I have no idea where they are getting their numbers, but you would think in the day of purchase these "additional" charges would be discussed at time of purchase and not blindside customers with extra charges. Go somewhere else and don't waste your time for false prices... I mean unless you enjoy getting high grossed by a bunch of conniving liars and thieves.
