Southwestern Eye Center

I went for a vision checkup and new glasses. While I was there I mentioned that my eye hurt and was hard to open in the morning. The doctor discovered I had dry eyes, prescribed me eye drops and made a follow up appointment for me. I walked across the lobby and was measured for glasses which were mostly covered by my insurance. There are also specialists at the same office. I received my glasses less than two weeks later.

My first visit to Southwestern Eye Center (SEC). Easy and quick check in process and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Horsley is awesome. Knowledgeable and professional. I'm looking forward to my next visits to the Southwestern Eye Center. Keep up the great work. Thank you. Ruben Santiago

An appointment time at this office is never to be taken seriously. You are asked to show up 15 to 20 minutes before the supposed appt. time and invariably, you will wait for at least an hour before you get anywhere near a tech who will spend perhaps 5 minutes to prep you for the doctor and then you will spend another block of interminable minutes sitting in yet another holding area. For the follow up to my 12/3/2025 cataract surgery, I spent more than two hours of waiting to receive the actual 10 minutes of service. Whomever you have contracted with as your call center is a total joke. When I called on Monday to check on an arrival time for my surgery, I was told that I had 57 people in front of me. WHAT! Not only that but after holding for more than an hour the person answering the phone told me she couldn't help me and transferred me to yet another hold of more than 45 minutes and then was told an exact time was not available yet but they would call me back. When they called back I was in the shower so missed the call and when I returned the call I was put on hold again for many minutes and transferred once again and put on hold. This is totally ridiculous. Since you make a point of telling me that I am subject to at least a $25 fine for not showing up on time or cancelling an appt., what do you think I should charge you for wasting HOURS of my time both on the phone and in your office. And the name is Dorothy Mahaffey, not Frances.

Top notch doctors but they are always running behind. I know people become accustomed to waiting in a doctor's office but SEC takes it to another level. Standard waiting times have been at least an hour past your appointment time the last 3 times we have gone.

Very pleased that I was able to get same day appointment. Did not have to wait very long to see the doctor. I'm very happy with this office, everyone is helpful and very courthouse.

The whole team here work together very professional and also personable. Made my mother who is 90 years young feel very comfortable very helpful to make her surgery as ease

I am writing to express my concern and disappointment with the eye exam I received at your facility on October 8, 2025. The prescription I was given at that visit was significantly different from the one determined shortly afterward by another ophthalmologist. The second opinion, performed by a board-certified ophthalmologist, has a considerable difference, and it raises serious questions about the accuracy of the original exam. In addition, I have called your office twice to discuss my concerns and request to speak with the manager but have not received a return call. In addition, I found the atmosphere in your office did not inspire confidence in the quality of care being provided.

First visit here. A family member needed emergency assistance for removal of foreign body inside one eye. Staff was professional and friendly from the beginning. Squeezed us in for a same day appointment which we really appreciated.
