I have been a patient at this practice in their Peoria office for almost 25 years, but had never been to the Mesa location. Because I recently moved from the west valley to Mesa, I made an appointment for my annual retinal exam with Dr. Gordon. What a mistake; I could not believe how dysfunctional this office is. I honestly could have driven from east Mesa to their Peoria office, had my exam, and driven back in the amount of time I sat in that office waiting to be seen by Dr Gordon. The staff that I complained to all said it's because of how Dr Gordon runs things and that I needed to "tell it to the doctor" because he doesn't listen to his staff's complaints. He has no respect for his patients or their time, making people wait ridiculously long periods of time before he actually sees them. It obviously doesn't matter what time a person's scheduled appointment is, the doctor decides the order of when patients are seen based on "the reason for their visit." I saw more than 20 people with appointment times later than mine, get called back before me during the more than 3 hours I waited to be seen. I was so angry about the disrespectful arrogance of this doctor that I left after more than 3 hours of being ignored. If I could give him less than one star, I would.

Prepare to wait 4 hours in the waiting room. First hour tests and dilation. Then wait three hours to see Dr Gordon. Ridiculous

Dr. Gordon doesn't preform drive through retina care. If you have any systems of what are the four vision disorders common at any age, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, Dr. Gordon is highly recommended, he is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has been the recipient of numerous prestigious honors and awards including Phoenix Magazine's Top Doctors and has been listed as one of America's Top Ophthalmologists by the prestigious Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. since 2015. Dr Gorden and staff are very kind and extremely knowledgeable and proficiently skilled in answering all questions. This practice provides total care for all you needs, Thanks again Dr, Gorden and staff. For treating our family retina problems with experience and skilled care. The results are so appreciated and the extension of vision life by your ability to treat macula is proof of your applied skills. Thanks again

Dr Gordon has been my wife's retina care specialist for the past five years. I was referred to him by another retina specialist. He is a very knowledgeable, caring, and near perfect follow-through doctor. He takes time to study the problem and explain in detail the solutions. So, if you are in a rush, he is not for you. But, if wonderful eye care is of interest to you, then he is the best. Shyam Gupta, PhD

Any doctor who feels that he/she can make their patients wait for 2-4 hours to be seen is a doctor I don't care to see. If nothing else the office staff should tell patients when they check in. When one patient checked in and asked how long the apt. typically takes she responded "with Dr. Gordon it typically takes 2-3 hours" and when you read their reviews they ALL speak to the 2-4 hour wait time. No thanks!

I waited 4 hours to see Dr Gordon. I blame the office staff for not communicating. With wait this long they need to invest in a system similar to some ER where they can tell you how long is the wait then the patient can go to lunch and manage their day. He is the best at what he does so it depends on your medical condition if the wait is worth it for you.

Referred by my eye doctor for small retina bleeding consultation. Doctor Gordon is very thorough, but be prepared for a very long wait times. It appears they over schedule. Appx 4 hours on last follow-up visit!

Each appt is 2-4 hours. Dr. Schedules more appts then he is able to reasonably handle. Save yourself the frustration and time by choosing a different Dr.
