Once I got an appointment nailed down it was GREAT. The doctor and the staff that attended to me once I was there were great. I had a piece of metal stuck in my eye and my eye got red and watery. It bothered me a lot. The doctor got in there and was all business. He seemed to know exactly what to do and how to go about it. He got the piece of metal out, put some antibiotics in my eye and I was pretty much 100% the next day. This was in November of 2025 and I'd recommend this doctor hands down.
We have been to this location several times, and this last visit was distasteful to say the least. I left genuinely worried about how the staff treats patients when they don't have someone with them to advocate for their needs.
During our visit, I witnessed a woman who was clearly struggling with an eye issue she could not see well enough to read her phone or find the correct address. Instead of offering even basic assistance, the staff told her she needed to "figure out where her doctor was" and refused to help her read the address, repeating that "we aren't your doctor's office, look at your phone." She repeatedly explained that she couldn't see, and the link she had didn't show an address. I ultimately stepped in to help her because it was obvious she was in distress and needed support.
The second incident involved the staff member who schedules follow-up appointments. A patient arrived 30 minutes early and politely said he could wait. Her response was dismissive and condescending. She told him the doctor was backed up and suggested he either go to lunch and come back or reschedule, adding, "like I was about to say before you interrupted me," even though he hadn't been rude or disrespectful.
If the doctor is running behind, patients should be notified rather than having their time wasted. And if certain staff members do not want to deal with patients or lack the empathy required in a medical environment then perhaps this is not the right career path for them.
Clear Vision's lack of compassion and disregard for patients' circumstances is extremely concerning. No patient should feel dismissed, disrespected, or neglected, especially in a healthcare setting where many come in with limited vision and need support.
I've been to this ophthalmologist three times over the past six years for the same issue (chalazions and abscess removal). My first visit about five years ago was fine, but my last two visits within the past month were very frustrating.
During my recent evaluation, Dr. Corey told me directly that it would be possible to treat both eyes. After that appointment, I called the office a few times--first to switch to one eye, then to confirm whether I could still do both since the doctor had said it was okay. The staff member I spoke with said it shouldn't be a problem if the doctor had already agreed. However, when I arrived, I was told that Dr. Corey doesn't like to do both eyes. This was confusing since he was the one who initially told me it was possible, and I was never informed directly by him that this had changed.
After that appointment, I was also charged the wrong amount twice due to a clerical error. The staff member was apologetic, but it added to an already long wait. I arrived about 10 minutes early and still waited around an hour and a half to be seen, and the billing issue made the wait even longer.
My second visit, which was yesterday, wasn't any better. While Dr. Corey is knowledgeable, there seems to be a lot of miscommunication in this office. I was that a payment plan would be accepted, so I completed all the paperwork when I arrived, which again added to the long wait. After waiting about an hour, I was taken back for the procedure. Dr. Corey came in briefly, logged into the computer, and said he would be right back. About 10 minutes later, a staff member came in and told me that the doctor was not accepting my payment plan and that my options were to reschedule or pay the full amount.
Since I had already driven 45 minutes and waited over an hour, I felt pressured to pay the full amount just to move forward. When I asked why the payment plan was no longer being accepted, the staff member said she didn't know. This was never addressed by the Dr directly to me after this interaction.
On top of that, while waiting in the procedure room, I witnessed Dr. Corey scolding a staff member with the door wide open, which was uncomfortable as a patient.
Overall, between the long wait times, billing issues, and constant miscommunication, this was a very disappointing experience. I won't be returning and hope I won't need to in the future.
I had a wonderful experience at this ophthalmology clinic. The staff is incredibly professional, kind, and communicative--I always felt well informed and taken care of throughout my procedure. As a small business owner myself, I really respect the way they run their practice: with efficiency, compassion, and genuine care for their patients. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional eye care and a team that truly values you.
SO GREAT!! From the young men who answered the phone calls to the technician to the doctor. Everyone is so warm and kind and professional. I feel that they listened to my concerns and spent a lot of time with me and performed many tests to rule out issues. They were EXCELLENT!!
Clean place. Doctor and staff are very knowledgeable.Great service.
I arrived early for my 8:20 am appointment 5/15/25. I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes and still did not see the Dr. I think they just pack the schedule and have no regard for patients time. This was at the 32nd st location. Find another optometrist for your eye care.
Bad experience.
Josie was supposed to call me after my moms surgery and did not call me at all my mom waited over 2 hours and did not eat before. To top it off she had to be taking medication but missed because she was waiting in a lobby with a patch on her eye! Like seriously ? I am her daughter offered to stay and they said no. Never again
