I am so impressed with Dr. Churgin and his team. He is very thorough with his care. One of the techs, Milan is also amazing. With my recent visit, she was able to complete my tests easily and stress free which says a lot, as I am not very comfortable with any type of eye exam. The entire team made me feel at ease and confident that I was receiving the best and complete care.
Dr is Grumpy, very short with patients. The front desk is absolutely useless, can not answer billing questions yet they try to collect for mysterious charges that they can't explain. Also they don't know how many followup visits are included with cost of surgery. They have a horrendous smelling candle burning all the time and frankly, I just don't like them, at all But good luck to you
If you are thinking about using this clinic's services and specifically using Denise Keyser as your Retina Specialist, I have one word for you...RUN!!!! When she took the Hippocratic Oath "Do No Harm" she had her fingers crossed. My experience with her as a "Retina "Specialist" was horrendous. She insisted that I have surgery to extract the retina fluid for examination of intraocular lymphoma because she saw suspicious cells. This turned out to be bogus and it was Uveitis. Then, a week later my retina was torn due to the first surgery she performed. After emergency surgery to insert a gas bubble to keep the retina in place and being blind for 3 mos. My eye still hasn't healed!!! I have since gone to another retina specialist who said the damage is permanent. My journey started only to get a new prescription for glasses and now I still have no glasses and am permanently disfigured. Thanks Denise!!!
Kudos to Dr Danesh for outstanding client care. He provides excellent observation and identifies what treatment is needed for specific eye conditions. Caring and friendly staff to take excellent care of each client
Office Manager,
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the treatment I received during my appointment with Dr. Kayser yesterday Friday 4/11/2025 at 3:30 PM. What unfolded was not only inexcusable, but also the most unprofessional medical experience I have encountered in my lifetime--especially given the reputation and caliber of your office.
Despite arriving on time, I was not seen by Dr. Kayser until 5:00 PM (1 1/2 hr. late). When she finally entered the room, she was dismissive, impatient, and lacked any sense of compassion or concern for my health issues. I am currently experiencing symptoms that are affecting my quality of life, and I came to this appointment hoping for clarity, support, and professionalism. Instead, I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and worse than when I arrived.
As someone who has lived in Phoenix for 35 years and held a prestigious position with a major TV network, I understand the importance of integrity, professionalism, respect, and accountability in any public-facing role. Yesterday's experience fell far short of that standard.
I would appreciate a call from the office manager as soon as possible to discuss this matter further. I can be reached by phone or email and you can find that information in your records.
Regards K.C.
I want to provide an important update to my previous review. After my initial experience, Dr. Danesh personally invited me back on 5/2/2025 for a complete free follow-up examination. He was extremely apologetic, humble, and genuinely took the time to listen and understand my concerns. During this visit, he gave me all the time I needed and conducted a thorough and thoughtful evaluation. I truly appreciated his willingness to address everything in such a sincere and professional manner. It's clear he cares deeply about his patients and their overall experience. I'm grateful for the care and attention he provided and wanted to acknowledge his effort to make things right.
I saw Dr. Danesh in November on a referral from an opthalmalogist who identified what he thought was a retinal tear. I had been complaining about partial vision loss to various optometrists for 3 years and finally someone had listened. Dr. Danesh, however, identified that my issue was several years old and was not treatable. The problem I have is the entire appointent was rushed. He asked me twice who referred me to him, and made me feel like I was wasting his time. He finished off with "the good news is you don't need surgery." No, that is not good news. If surgery would fix my partial vision loss, I would rather do surgery. The diagnosis is what it is. But on top of disappointing news, I felt like I wasn't worth his time.
Very professional staff; great personalized care and follow-up.
Thank you Dr. Danesh and staff. Dr. Danesh has repaired the vision in my right eye and now working on my left. I truly do not know what I would do without Dr. Danesh. Very blessed to have been connected with Phoenix Retina Associates!
