I've been going to Vision Works for about 6 years now. Just moved to the Ahwatukee area and moved to the office there. Every experience has been very professional, pleasant and time-well spent. This particular appointment was great; from checking in, to examining my eyes, meeting with optometrist and closing out my needs for glasses and contacts. Everyone knew their role and how to take care you. I've never had a bad experience here and even got my husband to transfer his eye care to Vision Works. I highly recommend this company!
Your front desk girl Katelin is rude. I don't know why she feels the need to speak to customers with a condescending tone but it's quite unprofessional. 10/10 will no longer even come to vision works because of her lack of respect for others and even her co workers around her. You should really hire someone who can work with customers and be respectful.
Visionworks' motto: "If you were hoping for glasses that help you see, you're in the wrong hell. Our frames are crooked, our lenses are cursed, and our customer service is powered by apathy and spite. At Visionworks, we don't just disappoint--you'll leave questioning the point of sight itself. That's our promise. That's our punishment."
I had one of the absolute worst experiences ever with both the quality of the eyewear and customer service. I purchased frames and lenses on 4/16/24. 4 months later, I noticed that the edge of the lenses looked like there were small white dots that within days grew into bigger cracks along the edge. After the manager at Visionworks examined the lenses, she said it was not my fault and they would send them back to the lab to have the lenses replaced. The manager mentioned that the lab messed up and something was done incorrectly when they cut and shaped the lenses. The lenses were OK for another 4 months until they started cracking again on the edges. Visionworks replaced them a 2nd time at the end of August. On 4/18/2025, almost a year after I received the glasses, the cracking started again in the corner of the left lens as shown in the picture below. Clearly, Visionworks has issues with either the quality or extremely poor technicians who keep repeating the same mistakes. When I went into this Visionworks location, the "optician" looked at the lenses and said he had no idea why they keep doing this. It could be alcohol or what was used to clean the lenses. I stated that this has happened 3 times with these lenses and frames and I have never had any problems with any other glasses doing this in 40+ years since I have been wearing glasses. I have been cleaning the lenses with the cleaning products I purchased at Visionworks. The more I talked to this joke of an optician, the more I realized how useless he really was. They should not let him even speak to customers. He quickly escalated the situation by looking up my information, then saying he could not do anything since I purchased the glasses a year ago. I asked him why he would not do anything if the glasses/frames are clearly defective or something has been repeatedly been done incorrectly in the lab. He had no answer and just smugly smirked, saying "sorry." I will never go back to Visionworks after this experience. If they cared about their customers at all, they would take corrective action with their labs and poor staff. The time and stress dealing with this horrible place is enough for me to tell everyone I know how bad they are. Just look at the other negative reviews regarding their lack of customer service.
04-21-2025 Response from customer service:
We are truly sorry to hear about your recent experience with our Phoenix location. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and we are sorry this was not the experience we'd hope to provide. Unfortunately, Visionworks does not offer a warranty after one year from the date of purchase. Your feedback is important to us, We will be escalating your concerns and feedback to our leadership team to address this internally.
Thanks for making me hate this company even more.

This is a little late posting as I got my glasses and sunglasses from here December of 2023. I got new insurance with a new company and tried the Tempe Costco optometrist and the glasses I got there had to be redone. Then instead of redoing them they did a 2nd test and told me I may need eye surgery. The glasses and sunglasses I got at this Visionworks now a couple years later still work great and help me see better at work as well as sports outside so I'll come back here next time instead.
I want to give a shout out to this team, especially Karina, Aldo and Mario.
I've gone to this location for years. Those of you who know me, know that glasses are an essential item for me.
Anyhow, we bought my wife a pair of glasses here quite some time ago. More than a year ago. A few weeks ago, they were accidentally sat on. And the left temple hinge was hopelessly broke. She stopped in to see about a repair and was told they were beyond repair.
Fast forward. Using the info on the frame, I was able to find an identical pair in somewhat more used condition on e-Bay. $25.
But for the life of me, I couldn't pop the lenses out and make the switch.
So today we stopped into the store. Karina swung into action with an assist from Aldo. Ultimately, Mario (who has helped me before) had to heat the frame to seat the lenses.
And the Karina doggedly cleaned them up and re-adjusted them for my wife.
Very happy.
Thank you Karina, Aldo and Mario!
Very professional and knowledgeable tech, Maryann. Only issue is I was charge $35.00 for Visionworks Protection. I didn't ask for it and should have looked closer at my final bill.
Friendly service, explaining everything before hand and going back over if you misunderstand anything. Great doctor, took his time and good follow up on asked and answered questions.
The whole staff was amazing they all took interest in my care. Amazing team. I will refer family and friends.
