The experience was quick, easy, and great! Everyone was welcoming as soon as I walked in. During my eye exam, Dr. knew exactly what I needed. Verified contacts fit comfortably and Out the door I was in less than an hour. To some that may be rushed, to me that was Excellent! They knew what they were doing AND provided me with the best offers through my Insurance.
I went here again after many years and I will definitely go back. The people there are fantastic. They didn't pressure me into buying anything. They worked with my insurance coverage. They were fast at getting me through the process. I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Plus they have a great selection of frames.
Dr Drabinsky was absolutely fantastic, kind, funny and took the time to research my previous prescriptions due to 2 recent mistakes back in August and December at different locations that were very expensive mistakes. I can't thank him enough. The eye exam front desk staff understand my frustration and handled that with professionalism. The eye glass fitting and purchasing staff were also kind and even fun to work with. Thank you.
Dr. Drabinsky is an excellent doctor. He is very thorough, personable, caring and helpful. He explained everything clearly to me and with me at ease. The staff was also very polite and helpful. I am definitely coming back!
The kind of business that sees people waiting outside and keeps the doors locked. The staff are all very grumpy and humorless, and they definitely do not make you feel welcomed in the slightest. In fact, I turned around and walked right out after a couple interactions with the staff.
Subject: Recognition for Exceptional Kindness - Gina at VisionWorks, East Cactus Rd, Phoenix
To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to recognize Gina at your East Cactus Road location in Phoenix for her extraordinary kindness and service.
When I came in with broken glasses, Gina quickly assured me that my insurance would cover them and even put a rush on the order since I was heading back to California for medical appointments. That alone was thoughtful, but what she did next truly touched my heart.
As I was leaving, Gina called me back. She said she didn't want me driving without glasses. She walked over to the display wall, took a sample frame, gently popped my lenses out, and placed them in the frame so I could see clearly until my new pair arrived. She gave me safety and peace of mind without me even asking.
After everything I've been through, including breast cancer treatment which affected my eye sight and losing my sister a week ago, (which I didn't mention to Gina because I would have broken down in tears) , Gina's compassion and understanding reminded me how powerful a simple act of kindness can be. She went far beyond her role, and it made all the difference.
Please recognize Gina not only as an excellent employee, but as someone who leads with genuine care and empathy. Her extra kindness is something I will never forget.
Sincerely,
Mary McNally
Absolutely the worst location I could have gone to. The eye doctor was great but his staff is not. We were in there a little over 2 weeks ago to get eye exams after being referred to this location from a few friends. As we were doing all the intake forms we were unsure on contacts or if we even needed them. The front desk guy named Jackson said that's something you can talk to with the doctor and we can handle after the eye exam. After our eye exam and speaking with the eye doctor it was something we were interested in but still unsure. So the eye doctor said why don't we order some samples and have you come back in for a fitting and a refresher course on putting in/wearing contacts. I said that great then we can decide if we want contacts. At the front desk the same guy named Jackson said I had to pay for the fitting before we even had it. I did ask if we can just pay for the fitting after we do the actual fitting or the same day of the fitting instead of before since we were still unsure about contacts. He said no we had to pay that day and they would call me in a few days to schedule the fittings. Well 2 weeks can and went with no word from the location. I called today asking for a refund on the contact fittings session and he said they do not give refunds since I agreed to contacts before my eye exam. Not once did I say yes to contacts. My son and I's prescriptions are so minor and we really don't need glasses/contacts but now I'm out over $140 worth of money because they make you pay before you even have a scheduled appointment for the contact fittings. Only go here if you feel like being robbed.
The vision exam was ok. But the few seats to wait your turn were full, so I sat in one the chairs in the glasses area towards the back to be out of the way. After about 5+ minutes one of the people working the glasses area said I needed to get out of the seat in a very forceful tone (rude). as they were for glasses customers only. The store was empty except for those of us waiting for an eye exam. I ended up standing until a seat freed up. I thought to myself, do you really not want my business once my eye exam is done. You get your prescription print out from the people selling glasses. Needless to say I decided not to buy my glasses there or go back for an eye exam because of how rude they were to me. Plenty of courteous places places in the area to get an eye exam and buy for glasses Costco, LensCrafters, etc.
I figure I will get a boiler plate response in the next day or so to contact corporate so they can look like they care about negative reviews. Looking through other reviews it looks like they have someone or AI that shoots out the same response to anything negative. But not one person amended their negative review to indicate they felt like the situation was addressed/fixed. Boiler plate responses and emails don't fix anything.
