The staff there was amazing and the doctor was very knowledgeable & made experience comfortable. I highly recommend plus they take most insurances. I had such amazing services at Walmart. I have been going to Dr. Becken for as long as I've lived here, almost 12 years. When we first started going, I took all five of my kids and now it's just me but I wouldn't go anywhere else. One year, my insurance changed and I had to go to a different office but that was a mistake. Dr. Becken's office is the only one I will go to now. They make it easy and I'm never stuck waiting. They offer additional services but never pressure me to get them. Thank you, Dr. Becken, and your great team!

My visit went as it always does, very well! However, when we were doing the last exam, with the machine with the bright light, the optometrist mentioned in passing that I was in the initial stages of glaucoma! I said well what's the prognosis? He said we don't really know with glaucoma but anywhere from six months to twenty years! Then he made some mention of patients he's had that went twenty years! Okay! Let's go up front and they'll get you setup with new glasses. He gave me one of those little trays to put your choices of frames in. I'm sure that medical professionals have to maintain a level of professional detachment but I felt like it was a little glossed over as the end result is blindness from an incurable eye disease! According to the web I should be getting treatment as sight can be preserved even if the disease itself is not curable! If you don't have any issues beyond vision correction you'll have a positive experience but if you have other issues you might want to act as a better advocate for yourself then I did!
