Autumn was an absolute joy to work with! She was very insightful and helpful and even fixed a loose lens and assisted my fiance with her new glasses ! She's the BEST! She needs a raise!

I'm sad to say I've had multiple bad experiences here and have finally given up. I'm not an old lady, and my prescription isn't terrible, yet every pair they attempted was super thick and significantly spilling over the frames edges. They didn't have any frames to even try and hide lenses... not for regular glasses nor sunglasses. Not even in the men's section. They were all thin and small. After 4 attempts at remakes/new frames, I finally settled on a pair that I had convinced myself to just make do with. But when I picked them up, there were multiple dings and chips in the frame and the lenses. And the funny thing is, they came wrapped in a paper stating they'd passed the quality control check... twice! The two gals that helped me throughout this journey were super nice (Courtney and Autumn, I believe.) The doctor that did our exam rushed us through. We came the week between Christmas and New Year's (which, btw, was actually pretty much empty) but there were certain parts of the exam they said they couldn't do "in the interest of time"... Even though no one else was there. So I felt rushed and cheated from the very beginning. It's disappointing the amount of time I spent on this... Hours of trying on frames, hours of sitting on hold with my insurance (as the store didn't know how to fully refund my purchase and reinstate my benefits), and hours going back and forth to the store on 4 separate occasions to pick up glasses only to find out they weren't great and had to start all over. Only gave it any stars at all because of their generous selection and for the two gals that helped me. If you're looking for something basic or have a super simple prescription,this place might be ok for you. But if you have aging eyes, astigmatism, wide face, and/or want glasses that don't have chips in them, I'd recommend trying somewhere else. Also, seating is adequate for plus-size individuals.

I made an appointment with Visionworks because I had a sudden concern with my right eye. My appointment was scheduled within a few days. From the time I walked in, the staff was courteous, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Matthew Gillon was articulate and clear about the issue, and immediately referred me to the appropriate specialist. My new appointment was scheduled before I left the Visionworks office. It was like a perfectly choreographed dance.

I had a great experience! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was getting contacts and glasses and they helped make sure I got the best deal for everything. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience with Dr. Michael Schmalle. I was treated so kindly as we went through my extensive medical history and he was thorough with explaining eye anatomy. It was an educational visit all around. He was patient as it took several attempts to get my proper reading due to my dry eyes. I never felt rushed or that I was a bother. I highly recommend this doctor and location. The front office ladies were also kind and did NOT try to upsell me which I appreciated.

The Visionworks Store on Rittenhouse and Ellsworth I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. Friendly experienced an extremely knowledgeable staff provided by Dr Ofopkom Who made my visit for eyeglasses a pleasant experience for ((someone who was extremely frightened of people touching my eyes)) In a very timely manner, I had my eyes tested And will be provided with new glasses in a very minimum time. My sincere "Thank You " To each and everyone especially to Doctor Ofopkom.

Everyone here was truly amazing. My husband and I were in and out quickly, but never once felt rushed. From the eye exam with Matthew--knowledgeable, calm, trustworthy, and personable--to shopping for new frames with Chelsea, who was kind, courteous, prompt, and professional, the entire experience was seamless. This is exactly why we keep coming back to this location year after year. Highly recommend.

We've been to this location a few times without issue. This last time we went in due to an insurance change and we needed to order contacts. The person at the front desk helping us assured us he would call the insurance company to verify coverage and order the contacts the following day. A few weeks later, no contacts yet, so I called....only to find out he never did ANYTHING. He didn't call to verify coverage, he never ordered our contacts, nothing. Last time going to this place for sure!
