Alma Murphy MD

From my first encounter with Dr. Murphy's staff, my experience has been five star. I went to Dr. Murphy for a second opinion on cataract surgery. As I had suspected, I was being led towards an expensive lens that was not just right for my situation. Unlike the other physician, Dr. Murphy talked with me about what I do. Learning that I am an artist, she immediately knew that those expensive multi focus lenses would not be right for me. Every appointment I have had at her clinic to measure my eyes and then for surgery, were top rate. I highly recommend Dr. Alma Murphy and her staff. I am very happy with the results of my cataract surgery and about the care I have had around the surgery.

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Alma Murphy and her staff (especially Yari) regarding my cataract surgeries and outcomes. All interactions from evaluation, Pre-Op measurements, Post-Op exams, and both surgeries were easily scheduled, on time, and efficient. All my questions were answered clearly. Trust was established early. Dr. Murphy is a caring, gentle, knowledgeable physician who clearly loves her work. I highly recommend Dr. Alma Murphy!

I am surprised people have had a less than optimal experience with Dr Murphy. I found her to be very caring and took time to discuss my eye problems with me. Her staff are very professional and compassionate. She gave me excellent advice in what I needed to do to care better for my eyes. While I was there one patient had an emergency eye situation and it was handled immediately. He was so thankful while I was there that his problem was handled immediately.

My eye care with Dr. Murphy has been exceptional for several years. She and her staff are caring, compassionate people. They are organized, proactive and effective providers. I know when I go to my appointments that I'm getting the best care I can have for my eyes. My recent cataract surgery has made my vision better than I had imagined. She is definitely one of the best! She's quite a humble person, too!

Dr. Murphy has been very helpful with my glaucoma. She is an excellent, caring physician. Her staff is also wonderful.

I have seen Dr Murphy a few times. I did not feel very comfortable noticing old equipment. I noticed her picture posted on the web site was posted 6 yrs ago. She's been practicing over 40 yrs. Everything needs updated. So sorry I did not have a good experience with the Dr or the office. I had some billing issues that were questionable. It was looked into and taken care of. After reading the last review and how wonderful everything was over there. I decided to share my feelings on the few times I have dealt with this office

I have had excellent care from Dr Murphy for a good many years. I highly recommend her for the best care in Tucson. The office is quiet and pleasant and run well.

Dr. Murphy is very impatient and rude. I did not have a good result from my cataract surgery. When I asked her for help, she said, "Can you see better now than when you had cataracts? Some people just don't have a good result. You're just one if those outliers."
