Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center

I have been a patient here for 3 years and up until now, I have been satisfied with the care given, but this visit was different. I saw a new sign in one of the exam rooms that said they now have dilation reversal drops. I have been given such drops routinely for years, prior to moving down to Arizona, and was pleased to see that this practice now has them. I asked for the reversal drops at the end of my exam and the doctor gave them to me. But then when my next visit was scheduled by an office clerk, he asked me for $20 for the reversal drops! I was not told there was an extra charge for the drops before they were given to me and I have never been charged for them in the past. I asked if insurance will cover them and the clerk said they will not (they are not "medically necessary"). I also told him that I wasn't advised of an extra charge before the drops were given, and had I known about the charge in advance, I would have skipped them. He still I insisted that I pay. Well, they have lost a patient because of this nickel and diming, and not being up front about their charging scheme. Their eye glasses are outrageously expensive as well (compared to other VSP optical vendors). I am done with Barnet, Delaney and Perkins.

All exams are fine & thorough. My only issue is with the atmosphere of the office. Though professional it seems like no one is enjoying their work. No smiles, no light chatter, no warmth. It's all let's get down to business. I've been coming here for a long time and it really hasn't gotten any better.

Visit totally unacceptable. In addition to my annual checkup, I expressed to Dr Martin, I was having a terrible time with my eyes burning especially at night. I am going broke buying otc stuff that doesn't work. Problem totally brushed aside. No recommendations. Took a followup email to them today to get some kid of recommendation from him which I considered inadequate, he is simply not listening. Requested some prescription drops because I am desperate. This guy simply didn't want to listen to me. Was a patient of Barnet Delaney in Phx and this group is nothing like the Phx group. Any help would be appreciated.

Dr.Martin was thorough and very nice. He's an exceptional Doctor. Loretta helped us get signed in and and even filled out most of our check in for us. She had excellent patient service. Crista was absolutely amazing in patient care and the eye testing. Adam was amazing and thorough as the optician. Great patient experience. Jesus set my next appointment up and made you feel like family. I would highly recommend any patient to this office, where I know they will walk away with the same experience I had. Five stars.

This was my first appointment with Michael Martin, OD. I was very happy with how organized and efficient the process was and I found the people gracious and professional. After thirty years with another practice I was very pleased and impressed by how forward looking Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center is and happy to be one of their new patients!

I have been a client of Barnet Dulaney Perkins eye center for 3+ years. It's nice to be treated like I matter. Everyone is so professional and kind, especially Dr. Martin. They carry a wide selection of frames too! I like that I can see the Dr., and then sit down and order my glasses right there! If you need professional, compassionate eye care, you won't be disappointed at Barnet Dulaney Perkins.

Dr. Martin and his staff are excellent. They are prompt and wait times are very minimal. I would like to give a shout-out to Adam Cahoon in their Optical Dep't in the front waiting room. He helped me pick out a new pair of glasses. He is a very knowledgeable and professional technician. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I strongly recommend this clinic for expert eye care needs.

I saw Dr. Martin Monday. The computers where acting up so I didn't get my prescription. The staff said I would receive it via email. I didn't event after calling. I tried to use the portal to request a copy and it would not respond. So no, my experience has been poor.
