Costco Optical Department

After getting my (very accurate) eyeglass prescription at Tucson Family Vision Care inside Costco, I took it to the Costco Optical counter. Even though they were very busy, my name was called in less than 5 minutes by Jenna, one of the opticians on duty. Jenna explained my vision benefits, gave me an accurate cost estimate for my first pair of glasses, and pointed out that Costco offered a HUGE discount on a second pair... I was only planning to buy one pair of glasses. Why would I need a second pair in the same prescription? Well, Jenna had taken the time to ask about how I use my glasses... and realized that I spend much of my day with my head tilted back to read small print on a 4K computer monitor. She recommended a second pair with "HD Digital Multi-Functional" lenses, otherwise known as "degressive" lenses, which are optimized for computers and other close-up vision within about 6-10 feet. Jenna measured and sized the frames to fit my head size and eye spacing, and rang me up for both pairs of eyeglasses. The second pair cost less than $100. The glasses were ready a day earlier than promised. Again, I only waited a few minutes to pick them up and get the final adjustments. Both pairs fit perfectly. The HD Digital Multi-Functional lenses work really well for me: I wear them more than the conventional glasses. They're perfect all day for watching TV, reading books, and using my computer; I only switch to the regular bifocals when I go out driving. Bottom line: I'm going to stick with Costco Optical for low prices, top quality, and excellent service.

It was in the spring, my prescription changed. I went for a exam the lady that's the eye doctor she stays quiet examined me and I'm the chair I couldn't see for crap, she still sent me on my way to buy glasses, had to get re examined again because he prescription wasn't right. The second time I went she made a face at me and the assistants did the exam. I had to buy glasses twice because she was bothered to do it the first time correctly. I won't go here unless I absolutely have too

I showed up at the Costco optical area to pick up new glasses, and when I was called, Carla helped me. She went above and beyond, even helping me save money by not getting a new one that was out of my insurance coverage. She fixed my glasses and even explained how my glasses were and that I could come in anytime if it happened again, and they could readjust them.

Went to pickup some new prescription glasses for my mom & patiently waited to be helped finally got called up & a employee "Josh" was rude & kept asking are you sure you purchased your glasses order here @ this location when I said theirs only 2 locations near me he than says "NO THERES 3" finally he found a alternative way & was able to pull my order up, & wasn't very helpful at all he was nothing like the lady that helped me prior she was professional nice & helpful

Horrible experience. Waited over 40 minutes just to be seen because the workers were chitchatting instead of being efficient and helping customers. Both times I went i had to wait so long and my glasses still didn't come out right.

The independent doctor there got me new scripts and following the prescription for contacts the test pair was fine. But the new contacts are not correct. They're cutting into my eyeball everytime with a short 10 min wear. It is incredibly painful. When I called the optometrist they say itd too late (9months) so I'd have to pay for another exam. I don't think that's very fair when their prescription is hurting my eyes. I'll be going else where.

Lady at the front desk has a bad personality. She makes you feel like if she's doing you a favor by making an appointment. I chose to cancel my appointment because of the individual. "Advanced Vision" superior Customer Service by far, but I thought I'd give them a try. I read other reviews just now and it sounds like other people have had the same opinion. I hope the doctors address the issue because it's causing them business. $$$$ The sad part is that Office is located inside one of the top rated customer service oriented companies Costco.
