Dr. Sam E. Sato, MD

My son has been a patient of this office for roughly 4 years. We were recommended to him by multiple people who stated the office was great with children with Autism. Unfortunately this was not really the case. Dr. Sato is good at what he does, but he has a very gruff and rushed manner that would sometimes rub myself and my child the wrong way. However, the office staff up to today have been friendly and kind. however today was a terrible experience. My son HATES having his pupils dialated, and commonly has meltdowns over it. but the staff has always been helpful and supportive. however this time, he started refusing the dialation, i found no help from the staff, and the lady just sat there until she finally asked me to hold him down, so the drops could be forced on him! i continued to try to convince my son to calm down and allow the drops, as I didn't want to scar my child by forcing him into something. This continued until the tech said something along the lines of " We have a time...thing.. there are other patients waiting..." I left after that. I will find a different office that shows patience and kindness to their patients.

The staff at Dr. Sam Sato's office are always very kind but one of the front desk ladies went above and beyond to help scheduling in my daughter due to insurance coverage issues. I appreciated her kindness and understanding regarding our situation.

Small but nice place. I really like the play area, not that many office have one. Staff was awesome and kindly, bilingual and well versed. Will definitely continue to go on the north office. Dr. Sato gets direct to the point reducing patient time in the clinic.

Dr. Sato and his staff were excellent. They had a cancelation, and was able to get us in that same day to check my daughter's itchy eyes. Every other place we called had over a month to get us in. The wait time in the lobby was no more than 10 minutes. The eye issue was addressed, fixed, and they worked closely with our pharmacist. Thx!

It was an awful experience. My 2 yo was referred to this place by main provider. Nobody would share a word about the vision issues my kid had. Copayment of 50 dollars was charged, when it should be 40 for specialist visits. Extra EXPENSIVE examinations are performed without consulting the parents. Expect an expensive bill without details on what they did. They charged 340 for one visit (after insurance!). It is ridiculous.

They are very unorganized for an office with such a high volume of patients. Whether it's poor management or poor scheduling; I am assuming it is both. They used the excuse of having a new system which should never be an excuse. They should be trained properly to meet the needs of the patients with a new system in place and not scrambling around the back desk and not even knowing if a patient is checked in. Also! They have a lack of communication on the expectations are when you schedule an annual exam. Be prepared to be in the office for Dr Sato for 2-3 hours. Very unacceptable in my opinion.

it was awful. the doctor left the practice and i was not notified. i showed up and there was no one there. the office manager i spoke with was not helpful and only kept saying there was nothing she could do. i am extremely upset about how nonchalant everyone i spoke with was being. my daughter has autism and it was a struggle to get her willing to go to things she is uncomfortable with. the way i was brushed off is unacceptable to me as a parent and as a person.

We have been coming to Dr. Sato for the last several years. He always takes the time to go over any of your issues and concerns. His staff is wonderful! We've never had any sort of issues at all in any department. Completely recommend!!
