Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons

I am a Snowbird from Minneapolis. This process started in MN in August when I made an appointment to get glasses as I could not read my car dashboard in full sunlight. Told yes I can give you an Rx but you have Cataracts. So on to next appointment and find out can't get on the surgery schedule until after Thanksgiving and we leave MN on Dec 1st. So contacted my Saddlebrooke friends for a referral and EVERYONE said Dr Michael Henry. And now after both eyes are done I heartily agree. Beside being a great surgeon his bedside manner is amazing. Makes you feel like you are his only patient, does not leave without making sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed. And the staff at Oracle Eye are outstanding, I have been to both office sites. I started the process in December, but changed my Minnesota Medicare Advantage plan as of January 1st. I had cataract surgery and couldn't be more pleased with doctors, the staff, and the results. From the first moments with the receptionist until surgery was completed, everyone was proficient, efficient and organized. It was a well oiled machine! It's worth mentioning the kindness of the nursing staff which goes a long way in making this procedure a pleasant experience.

Dr T. Sherman is a great ophthalmologist. She fixed my cataract eyes, which were a bit complicated because of Radial Keratotomy that I had done in 1990. Dr Sherman, in my opinion, is not only an expert in her field but she is also very professional, friendly and personable, while explaining every procedure in detail. I would recommend her highly.

I'm very pleased with the way I was treated there. After the initial diagnosis the options for me were explained completely. Any possible problems with the surgery were fully explained allowing me to make an informed decision. The days of the surgeries every step was explained so I was able to understand what was happening. The surgeries went very well and there was good follow up both on the days of the surgery and with follow up appointments. To summarize they were great.

I recently had Cataract surgery on both eyes. The patient care at Oracle Eye is outstanding, Dr. Maltzman and his team took excellent care of me throughout the entire process, making it easy and pleasant. Dr. Maltzman is a remarkable surgeon and very personable. The surgery center is well coordinated, the nurses and physicians are top quality and were very attentive to my comfort. The result of the surgery was a total success, exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Maltzman.

Dr. Sherman performed cataract surgery on both eyes with the results being very positive. Dr. Sherman was very informative in pre-op and also followed up with a phone calls the evenings of both surgeries. The nursing staff in the surgery center were very professional, to include the staff at check-in. The technicians at the follow up appointments were also very polite and professional. Dr. Sherman is not only an excellent surgeon, but a very nice person. I highly recommend Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons for your eye care needs.

While I was very happy with Dr. Sherman (Ophthalmologist), once I was sent to the optical department, The care of service went completely downhill. I was fitted for specialty contacts for a problem with the cornea, but when I picked up the contacts, I noticed that I could not see close up. I went back to Dr. from who said she didn't realize I wanted bifocal contact lenses. I am almost 68 years old and my prescription was for both far and nearsightedness. She ordered them again for me and when I called to find out if they were in, I was told to come get them. The person who helped me just handed me a package. There was no questioning or help with fitting. When the left eye was blurry, I went back to Dr. from and she ordered a new contact for my left eye. I asked the person at the front desk to please have someone call me when the contacts arrived since that had not happened in the past. She told me if I really wanted to get my contacts, then I should call because the person working in optical does not call patients. The lack of care and concern in the optical department at Oro Valley is incredibly And I would never recommend for anyone to have any optical work done there. Also, Ophthalmology and optical are not actually connected. The doctors and staff don't look at each other's records and Require patients to come up with their own plan of service. They don't even have a contact lens reader. Hopefully I can return to the last place of business where I got my eyes checked since they were so professional. I stuck with Oracle Eye physicians and surgeons Because of a cornea issue, but as soon as possible, I will leave this practice. That is if I ever get my new Contact lens.

The surgery center is a well coordinated machine. I was treated with respect and the nurses were very attentive to my comfort. Dr Henry is an excellent doctor. I'm so happy with his work. I won't go to any other place for the care of my eyes.
