The LASIK Vision Institute

I had PRK and if you're like me and REALLY don't want to wear glasses, then I say proceed knowing the healing process takes patience and then more patience. The doctors and staff at the LASIK Institute do explain the experience thoroughly and provide a step by step of what to expect. My first experience here was everything you'd hope for, Myrna warmly greeted me and made me feel at ease. Following my initial appointment, I received a call from Dr. Chin and he was like Myrna extremely professional and kind. He was able to answer any questions I had and put me completely at ease and excited about my procedure. Finally, my surgeon Dr. Nelson walked me through every step of my surgery. He put me at ease despite me being a bit nervous. I'm glad I put something as precious as my vision on the folks of the lasik institute.

I am four days post-op from monovision LASIK, and my vision is wonderful. I'm extremely happy with my decision and confident that monovision was the right choice for me. The procedure itself was quick and very well organized. There was some pressure during the laser portion, which felt slightly uncomfortable, but it was not painful. The team explained each step clearly, which helped me feel calm and prepared throughout the process. Recovery has been smoother than I expected. My vision improved rapidly, and adapting to monovision has felt natural. I'm already enjoying the freedom of seeing clearly without depending on glasses. I'm grateful to the staff and surgeon for their professionalism, reassurance, and skill. This has truly been a life-enhancing experience.

This was a wonderful experience! The entire staff was incredibly kind. Not pushy or just trying to sell you on it. They consider your life style and your needs to help you make the best choice for you. The surgery staff was so kind, patient, and supportive. I think I might have squeezed the techs hand a little too much but she just offered that hand and support during the procedure, and I took it. The surgeon was attentive and talked me through the whole process so I knew what to expect at every moment. It's a lot to spend, but what a difference!! I see better now than I ever did with glasses or contacts. It's incredible and worth every penny. Thank you to The LASIK Vision Institute for everything!

Scheduled an appointment for 02/21/26. First impression was good. Everyone was really friendly it was just some photos of my eye, some other eye test, and the vision test with Dr. Ginman who was very friendly and seemed very caring about what he does and also patient with me while I had my crying toddler in the room. He showed me the procedure room and explained how everything would go and then I was told the good news that I'm a candidate for this surgery. I was approved for a payment plan with care credit and scheduled that next Friday which was amazing because I saved 1k with a promotion they had going on. Only thing I wish would've happened was to meet the actual Dr who would be doing the procedure. Came in 02/27/26 for procedure @9:30. I got checked in and was explained how to use the eye drops I would be using after my procedure signed some documents and was guided to a room that was outside of the actual procedure room. Had two people before me and they were both out within 10mins each. Once it was my turn I was greeted by Dr.Nelson who was pretty bubbly and cool. He walked me through the whole thing while it was happening. Made small talk but not too much he had music playing and he was singing so it was a pretty calm environment for me. I got my eyes numbed laid down and had to do the first step which was a lot of pressure which made the flap in my eye I believe and that hurt a bit but not a lot just lots of pressure and my vision went black for that moment after that on both eyes was the laser which I just saw red and green lights and partially seeing Dr.Nelson doing something to my eye but most of it was blurry. Felt nothing just smelt a burning smell and boom was done in 10ish minutes given some shades and was on my way home. Only thing that really sucked was the burning after the numbing wore off. You have to nap and/or keep your eyes closed for 3-4 hours and it was very hard to fall asleep took me about an hour before I fell asleep but after that I woke up and everything was fine. I could see with slight blurriness. Overall experience was good but pretty fast paced. You're literally in and out once you're approved. Perk also is the life time warranty which follows you everywhere you go in case you happen to need a fix but overall you shouldn't have to. I've had glasses since I was about 6 and I'm 25 and being able to see without glasses has been pretty crazy. It's still alittle off but I can't wait til it's fully stable. I'm so happy already. Just having to get use to not having glasses on is hard but fun. If you're looking to get your eyes done don't be afraid just see if you're able to and go from there. I'd say it's pretty affordable with payment plan and not so scary to get done. Everything is pretty smooth.

The staff are great! Dr. Ginman and Dr. Nelson were very thorough and answered all my questions. The procedure was quick and straightforward. I had better vision immediately after the procedure and clear vision after my 3 hour nap. I am glad I did it. Highly recommend going to Lasik Institute! I said goodbye to my contacts and glasses!

Really good experience. I had my consultation at the Phoenix office and they were very kind and walked me through all the tests they did and gave me a quote on how much it would be after insurance. The actual LASIK I did in Tucson and they are equally as great at walking me through the process, what forms I had to fill out, and answering any questions or concerns I had. (Plus the singing during was pretty fun). Would highly recommend

This has been by far the best decision I've ever made. The staff is amazing, very friendly, very professional! Dr Ginman answered all my questions and made me feel very confident about moving forward with this procedure. The procedure was quick and painless, Recovery is fast you can literally go back to your daily routine/activities the next day. It feels amazing to wake up with clear vision. A huge thanks to the surgeon Dr Smith, if you are considering Lasik surgery DO IT, it's absolutely worth it.

I had a great experience here! Everyone was very friendly and professional. I was able to book my LASIK appointment within 2 weeks of my consultation and was able to get discounts on the surgery which made it considerably more affordable. I am extremely happy with the service I received, I wish I would have scheduled my consultation sooner!
