My initial appointment went well. The doc addressed most of my issues and scheduled me out a week to come back in for a small procedure. So fast forward a week. On the day of the procedure, just 3 hours before my appointment they reached out to me and told me I'd need to pay the $800+ that my insurance didn't pick up. And I would need to pay it that same day or they wouldn't performance the procedure. I also reached out for the office mgr to call me back. That was also a week ago and I haven't heard anything. If there's another option, pick the other option.

This is the only doctor I have seen for my eyes since my teen years. I have been needing an eye appointment for about 15 years now. I have had no glasses or contacts all this time. I called to make an appointment, and they refused to see me because I have no insurance! I don't guess cash is good enough anymore to allow someone to be able to see and find out why I have blurred vision in my left eye. Apparently, this office no longer cares about their patients.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hughes and his staff. Everyone is nice, helpful, professional, and always seem to be in good moods. Dr. Hughes takes his time discussing eye test results and really seems to care for his patients. The only person I'm mad at is myself for not coming to him sooner!

If I could give a lower rating than 1 star I would. They did not mention it my consultation that I would be required to pay everything prior to surgery so I called to cancel surgery and was informed that I would be charged $100 anyway. I might have to pay this bogus charge but they'll pay for it in the long run.
