I love Hurst! They always have time to see me and are even flexible day of. Appointments are quick, no frills and the staff is all so kind! My glasses always come quickly and the styles are amazing for the prices! They have also helped me adjust frames on a whim. My favorite quirk is the text appointment reminders! They send them frequently and for me, a forgetful 20-something, makes remembering to visit amazing! Highly recommend!

Dr. Hurst it's great to work with. I have always been able to to get in same-day or next day for unforseen vision problems. They were great to work with when getting my daughter glasses for the first time and oh so patient and encouraging when my son chose contacts right out of the gate! 100% satisfied!

Absolutely terrible! Last year the doctor messed up my husband's prescription and had to reorder them. This year he messed them up again, reordered them and they were still wrong. He also messed my prescription up this year. After that we went to a different optometrist who spent far more time with us than Hurst did in total over the 2 years we've gone there. Turns out, he over corrected my lenses and under corrected my husband's. I'm convinced that this was done on purpose so that we would buy new lenses. I don't think our prescriptions actually changed at all. After multiple phone calls and appointments, in which the doctor still rushed us in and out, they corrected our lenses to the prescription that the other optometrist gave us. The receptionist was rude over the phone and I had to call them back as I did not receive a call back when she said I would. They didn't call us when our new lenses were ready. The receptionist apologized once in person and seemed nice. However, the doctor never once apologized. Doctors need to make money, I'm not naive to that fact but this doctor should at least pretend to care for the eye health and well being of his patients. It's so disappointing. There is no way that he doesn't realize how terrible his service is. All of that being said, the man that works at the front desk has always been kind and knowledgeable. Please save yourself the money, frustration, time and headache and go absolutely anywhere else.

My experience with the doctor was very quick and easy not much talking. I prefer it that way as I am not the most social. He asked if I had any issues or symptoms to look into and I told him no. Was in and out in just a few minutes. My husband on the other hand is definitely a people person and had everyone in the office talking and laughing for a while. I had an appointment at another eye doctor across town and showed up at the wrong place. They were so kind and took us in anyway! They are a small practice so there weren't many hands to answer the phone but I recommend!!

I absolutely love the care and consideration the people at Hurst eye care give. A great selection of glasses as well. I would refer everyone I know to Hurst.

Definitely the worse experience i have had at an eye doctors office. I agree with other reviews when they say it's a rush rush all the time. This is the first time i have gotten a new pair of glasses that didn't come with a case to protect them. Their selection on glasses are very limited. I would say my prescription was correct I can definitely see better. The exam was extremely quick compared to anywhere else I have ever been. In my opinion seems more like they care about the money and not the patient. Very unpersonal. This post is 3-20-2025. So update I got my glasses and they didn't even cut the lenses right. Do not use them. This is a joke.

I have been going to Hurst Eye Care up for about 5 years...until this year. Every appointment, they RUSH me through and never address any issue I bring up that's going on with my eyesight. They barely do any tests on my eyes. Most appointments I've had there have barely even lasted 5-10 minutes. The front receptionist doesn't seem to know how to do her job and looks at you with a stupid expression when you question her. She scheduled me for an appointment and then when I showed up for said appointment, she informed me that we were still a few days away from it being one year since my last visit so insurance wouldn't cover it and I'd have to reschedule once I hit the one year mark a few days later. Is that not her JOB to know this and be able to see this? My frustrations from my visits here culminated in me finding a new optometrist who has since found a serious eye condition I'm having to see a specialist for- an issue that Hurst never bothered to scan me for. I wonder how many years I've had this issue with Hurst just blowing me off every time I brought up my concerns... Long story short, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Hurst. They don't care about their patients obviously and only are in it to make a quick buck and shove their patients out the door. Take my advice - and everyone else who is reviewing- go to literally any other optometrist.

I found myself in a bind last month right before vacation when I realized I needed new contacts and my new insurance wasn't accepted at my previous Optometrist. I called several places that were a month out on appointments and then lastly, Hurst Eye Care. They got me in very quickly for later that week and assured me they accepted my insurance. I was very thankful. I then get a call 15 minutes before my appointment to tell me that "oops, we don't actually take your insurance anymore". I was a bit shocked. I asked for a cash price as I was already on my way to the appointment and because I couldn't go on vacation without contacts. The entire appointment, start to finish, lasted maybe 15 minutes. That included filling out new patient paperwork. The doctor was not very welcoming, he rushed me in and out, no greeting or anything. I was then handed a pair of trial contacts at the front desk and asked to pay my total of almost $200. I wasn't offered any sort of discount for THEIR error, nor an area to try my contacts on. No one asked if I liked them or if they fit okay, nothing. Mind you, $70 of that total was a "contact fitting fee". An absolute joke honestly. This was a far cry from my experience at my previous optometrist. They would sit me in a fitting area and give me a chance to wash my hands, get the contacts ready for me and then make sure they felt and fit well. The optometrist would then follow up as well before I left. That is what I would expect in a contact fitting. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because the front desk lady was very kind. I see a lot of negative feedback in these reviews and it looks like Hurst Eye Care really couldn't care less. This is not an Optometrist I will recommend or return to, even in a bind.
