McFarland Eye Care - Hot Springs

My appointment at the Hot Springs location was scheduled for 8:05 a.m., and I arrived early at 7:55. After checking in with someone who clearly wasn't thrilled to be there that morning, I sat in the waiting room until 8:27 before being called back. While waiting, I watched a supervisor walk through the waiting room, open the break room door, and say, "Come on, we have five people waiting in the waiting room," which didn't exactly inspire confidence that things were running smoothly. The technician explained the delay as needing time to load my previous records and prescription into the system -- which was odd considering this was my first visit to the clinic. I was also told they needed to load my medications, which are readily accessible through Blue Cross Blue Shield, so the explanation didn't really add up. Dr. Chwe was professional and did try to move things along after I explained I had another appointment and a 35-minute drive ahead of me. While the exam felt a bit rushed, I appreciate that he acknowledged the issue and said he would be addressing it with staff. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time my family has experienced scheduling problems here. From a patient's perspective, the appointment system appears broken, and some of the support staff could benefit from a refresher on customer service. Attitude and efficiency matter, especially when patients are trusting you with their care.

This eye care center is ABSOLUTELY, HANDS DOWN, THE BEST!!!!!! I can't say enough good things. Every single staff member was friendly, compassionate and so thorough. Would recommend 1,000 times over. I'm having a VERY serious and scary situation with my sight. They took it serious & they had me scheduled with a retina surgeon for l7 hours later. Amazing.

I had an awesome doctor ( Wilks ) & all the girls that did all the test on me. They were so sweet. The ladies up front were so cool & very nice. And the lady who told me when the appointment lady she will be calling me to set me up. I so excited to see to see everyone. Bless you all. Have a safe New Year

As soon as you enter the Hot Springs facility the front desk greets you with smiles and are the most courteous, friendly and helpful staff you would want. They go above & beyond to make sure your check in and out are a flawless experience. I recommend McFarland to all who need professional eye care.

I just had my yearly eye exam with Dr Paige Harvey. She takes her time to do a thorough exam and answered all my questions. Her techs are personable and professional. I highly recommend McFarland's. My appointment was at 1:00 and I didn't have to wait long after checking in to be called back.

The technician staff were amazing.....very explanatory and thorough. Dr Chwe took a lot of time with us- examining and discussing all of our concerns. We never felt like he was rushing us in and out. The best eye experience we have had in a long time

Dr. Harvey is the doctor that I am currently seeing at McFarlane Eye Care. I have macular degeneration , which in itself, is scary . Every time I go to my appointment, I do not know how far it has progressed. Dr. Harvey answers all of my questions. She is very thorough in the eye exam , and she doesn't make me feel like my questions are silly. The entire staff are very knowledgeable in the tasks they are assigned. Dr. Newbolt was the eye surgeon who performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. The surgery was quick and painless, and I am no longer wearing glasses for reading or driving as I've had to do in the past. I highly recommend Mcfarland Eye Care .

Everyone was great I went in for my appointment early.they got me in on time.the lady's was so polite from the front desk to back .the eye doctor came I. Checked my eye let me no what was going on with them.he got straight to the point.he is awesome.this is a very friendly atmosphere. You will love it thank you all so much for taking care of me.
