Dr Raines and her staff are awesome. The entire team work together to provide excellent care. I've been using Dr Raines for at least 20 years and she and her team are the only ones that can correct my vision with glasses that allow me to have perfect vision. Thanks to those ladies for the excellent work they do !!

My husband, son, and I walked in 3/6/2025 for an eye exam for my son. My husband proceeds to ask if they accept walk in's. The lady at the front desk looks up with a frowned face and says "we do if we're not busy" at this time it's 9am and they had just opened the doors. A lady from the back proceeds to ask "do ya'll have insurance that we will be filing" at this point I became very irritated due to their approach. I was asked if there was a problem? I stated yes the look on the lady's face at the front desk. We were told that she didn't mean anything by the look on her face and we were welcomed to go somewhere else. That's exactly what we did! I would not recommend this place to any one! Especially anyone of color! They are not happy to see you!!

I just called to obtain a copy of my eye care records for personal use and spoke with Shannon. As a former patient of Dr. Raines, I didn't think it would be a hassle. Shannon informed me that she would need a release form completed or that she could send them to my current provider. I informed her again that I wanted the records and obliged her request of completing the release form via email and sent it back. She then sent an email response stating it would cost me $6.50 to have them mailed to me with no option on how to pay (other than assumed traditional mailed check which I don't use), so instead of further back and forth, I called her to inquire as to why the charge wasn't discussed initially and then to go ahead and forward them to my current eye care provider. She got very rude and stated she didn't know about the fee until she called Dr. Raines. She tried talking over me and told me that the records were their property as if I, the patient, had no right to request a copy of them. I informed her I had an eye condition and was trying to track the history of it. I don't understand why she's making it so difficult for a former patient to request and receive records. Since she gave me two options, I would rather just have them forwarded to the new provider. I remember her from my visits there, and she usually seemed semi-pleasant while the doctor always seemed pleasant. I hope they get an online patient portal soon because if patients have to deal with rude behavior and back and forth to simply check their own records, I surely would hate that they'd feel like it's such a task, especially if you're dealing with the only person in office who's rude for no reason!

Dr Raines and her team are fantastic and friendly. I always get my eyeglasses through her office and they are perfect every time! Highly recommend!
