I am a new patient of Dr Walker, my first visit just a couple of months ago. She completed a thorough exam, listened to my needs, answered my questions, and was overall one of the better optometrists I've been to in 40 years. While I don't have vision insurance, she checked my health insurance and found that the office visit was covered and reduced my out of pocket. She did so herself, without delegating to a back office. That's unheard of in today's medical dystopia. What prompted me to come back two months later to leave a 5 star review was my interaction with her office today. I had called to inquire about prescription eye drops to treat my Presbyopia that I believed to be causing my headaches after extended computer usage. Her office took my message and Dr Walker called me back less than an hour later. She talked me through several options, letting me interrupt with additional questions, taking time to answer and letting me come to my own decision. Another optometrist might have required another office visit and not been as thoughtful and complete in responses. I can, and do, unreservedly recommend her if you're looking for an eye doctor with a personal touch.

Dr. Walker listened carefully to what I wanted for my prescription and had creative suggestions for how to help me manage bifocal vision with my contacts. This was in contrast to another optometrist I'd seen who had given me a uselessly strong prescription without inquiring further into my unique situation. Dr. Walker and her staff are responsive, compassionate, and helpful. I enjoyed my visit there and will return for more eye care in the future.
