I adore Dr. Kate. I always receive the very best care from her. She truly educated me on the seriousness of severe dry eyes, and my eyes are now better than they've ever been. Her entire team is incredibly kind and professional. They also offer a great selection of glasses, and my prescription is the most accurate I've ever received. I've been a patient for several years and couldn't be happier.
My favorite optical center for my eye exams and love my new glasses (such a good selection of frames I purchased 3 new pairs)! I also recently did the new TriLift procedure with micro-needling and I see definite improvements in my face and neck (tightening, lifting and texture)! Dr. Kate and Victoria did a great job (very pleased with my results)!
I love Tri-State Optical! I have been with Dr. Kate Landis for more than ten years now. It is proof of her excellence that when I've had to switch insurance plans, I always make sure she is in network. Not only is Dr. Kate wonderful, but she hires amazing staff. The front desk staff are friendly and professional. Many are bi-lingual.
The opticians understand fashion and facial shape to help patients select eyewear that are attractive and affordable. Along with optometry care at this clinic, there is a wide selection of frames for new lenses, and they offer Neurolens for those with migraine disorders or eye misalignment.
Dr. Kate doesn't just provide basic eye care. She also treats my inflammatory eye conditions that were causing such severe dry eyes that I had developed lesions on my corneas. I am now able to sleep through the night without awakening to apply drops to my fragile, painful eyes. My eyelids no longer stick together when I awake in the morning. The redness and prominent veins have reduced to normal appearing whites.
The clinic now offers several innovative therapies, such as IPL and Tri-Lift, to their patients. When she told me of these new options, Dr. Kate said to me, "When I learned of this new treatment for dry eye, I immediately thought of you." That's how remarkable Dr. Kate is. Victoria, the dry-eye coordinator, is exceptional and knowledgeable, too.
Although the eye clinic that she and her husband, Dr. Dan, have built together has grown into a large office with many patients, Dr. Kate knows each of us and our eye concerns so well that she keeps our individual needs in her mind when considering adding treatment options. These are not merely money-making avenues but true, science-based treatments.
I am in my 60's now, and when I am frequently asked how my skin remains so youthful, I answer, "Good genes and sunscreen...and Dr. Kate!" While the main purpose of the treatments I receive at Tri-State are healthier, less painful eyes, a beneficial side-effect is improved quality of skin and reduced under-eye swelling. I look in the mirror everyday and thank Dr. Kate.
Customer service is the biggest problem here and the reason for the low rating. The doctors are kind and knowledgeable, however their front end staff and optical technicians are lacking. I never receive appointment reminders (no calls, emails, texts). They say they have text reminders, but they don't send them out. Some days the optical technicians are friendly and invested in their patients, other days you get technicians who aren't interested in helping patients. My last technician was so insistent on being right about me getting lenses at the beginning of the year, but I hadn't put that order through at the time. Her name started with a C and she's young, and she also had little interest in helping me find frames. I felt very uncomfortable the entire visit. They also gave me my glasses back extremely smudged to the point where I thought my new prescription was fuzzy
Dr Landis is a fantastic OD with a top notch staff. At Dr Landis recommendation I opted for the IPL treatment for dry eye and I'm extremely pleased with the results.
Great place.
Beautiful, spacious and spotless facility.
Fully staffed with pleasant people.
Brought into the exam room right on time, then almost no wait for the doctor herself.
Saw Dr. Thompson, who could not be more pleasant.
Absolutely no undue upsell pressure, a very important aspect.
Recommended without reservation.
I came here as a new patient and had an amazing experience with the doctor and the optician who got me for my glasses. It would have been a perfect score but no one gave my prescription when I left and I have had to call twice now to try to get a copy so I can fix a pair of older glasses for a backup for the new pair I ordered through Tri-State. I will
definitely be back in the future.
My dry eyes were really starting to affect my day to day activities and comfort and I was beyond frustrated going into the summer with my symptoms. I just finished IPL and TriLift treatments with Dr. Kate and Victoria and couldn't be happier with the results.
My eyes used to leak for almost 2 hours every morning. After the first round of treatment, the leaking stopped! I was also struggling with really painful eyes about midday with my contacts. I was wearing my glasses nearly every day as it just hurt to put in contacts. About half way through the process, I am now wearing contacts all day again and don't even realize they are still in. I used to wake up with my eyes crusted over in the morning. This has cleared up as well and the benefits to my skin tone and texture are an added bonus.
So thankful for the TriState Staff and these treatments!
