Acuity Eye Group - Bakersfield on 16th St.

Visited on the 13th and had a great experience. The entire staff was professional and welcoming, but Kelly deserves special recognition. She's incredibly attentive, patient, and genuinely kind. She explained everything clearly and made the whole process feel easy. You can tell she really cares about the people she's helping. Big appreciation to her and the team.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They never answer the phone, so I had to come in person last year to make an appointment and they scheduled me for months later on January 6 and gave me an appointment card with the date and time. Finally after waiting months to be seen, I show up 15 minutes early to my appointment and they are canceling and informing me they didn't even have me scheduled for the 6th but for the 20th but still have to cancel that appointment until February. Every single time I've had issues with this place but this lack of professionalism is astounding.

Been going for 1 month, had injections and laser. I can now see better and drive at night. Still need to use my readers I got from dollar tree. I would recommend this place they are a great team.

Came here for glasses about a year ago and the staff is friendly and helpful. In that experience 5/5 but I recently went in for some vision concerns that I don't think are normal. Dr. Kim was dismissive and condescending and even stated to me that I shouldn't come in and "complain" to him about my symptoms if I wasn't going to use lubricating eyedrops. Right off the bat I do find that to be completely unprofessional, I'm a patient coming to my doctor with concerns, not complaints. While they may be a busy practice, that should not diminish compassion and care towards patient concerns.

I Totally Love Acuity Eye Group! They are So Professional and FRIENDLY! No attitudes EVERYONE is pleasant. I took my daughter to make an appointment for her first pair of glasses (she's 47). She loved the place, the selection and is looking forward to her appointment! So I Highly recommend AEG to EVERYONE!!

My first appointment with Dr Kim and I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He was very fast at diagnosing that I required eye surgery and had me schedule a time with his staff. This was a problem as I could not get through to the scheduling coordinator as both mail boxes were full. Other problem was the long wait. As a retired Administrative Nursing Supervisor he is worth the wait and I highly recommend him.

(Update)09.16.2025 First time seeing Dr.Kim, very professional and kind! Was having problems with my eyes and he reassured me that they were fine and did all his testing. Would definitely go back if something changes in my vision! Nothing but kind and caring staff here. The only place where I feel comfortable and heard! Great staff and doctor was kind! Got into the room fast and it was nice and clean. Would definitely recommend! Jessica Brown was so lovely too, and took our measurements for our glasses to make sure they fit perfect. Cleaned and wiped everything down before using and after. Had made an appointment for three of us (mother and sister) and they enjoyed the appointment too. They also help and make sure you can put in your eye contacts. This place is VERY sweet and kind

My son needed emergency care, and they were so willing to help that they found me an appointment the same day. Upon arrival, he was seen almost immediately. All the staff were very friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. The specialist was thorough and patient in explaining the details. I highly recommend this place!
