Dr. Thomas K. Reid, MD

This guy looked at my eyes and claimed they weren't getting enough oxygen because of wearing contacts and that I had scarred the cornea. Said I needed some gel drops and sent me on my way without any drops or prescription and charged me $250! Eyes were burning and super light sensitive. I always take the contacts out at night. This went on for weeks. Felt like there was something in my eye. Have been skiing with contacts for more than 20 years. I got back home and my eyes doctor immediately said that I had not scarred the cornea and it was my body's defenses rejecting the new contacts and immediately prescribed some steroid drops and said I have to wear my glasses for 2 weeks and no contacts until it heals. I was immediately better the very same day. Meanwhile this crackpot rips me off and incorrectly diagnosed the problem and gave me no treatment whatsoever. I just want to call this guy out and hopefully prevent anyone else from going through the same bad experience.

Found out about Dr. Reid when I was at CostCo in Carson City having my eyes checked. Was told that I needed to see an ophthalmologist and that there was a board certified doctor in Bishop. A day's drive and four hundred miles round-trip saved. A thorough exam with Dr. Reid eliminated CostCo's alarms. He is knowledgeable about everything I've asked about, including monovision lenses. Helpful staff. The office is only open a few days a week, so be patient, polite and persistent.

Dr. Reid repaired detached retina for me. I had a very complete understanding uuof the procedure and recovery after took time to explain it to me. My recovery went well . I recommend Dr. Reid to anyone should they require special treatment or surgical intervention. Compliments to his staff are also well deserved.

He is the kindest man. He cares deeply for his patients and is top of his field. I've worn glasses for over 50 years and he transformed my eyes with tiny powerful lenses in both eyes. I can see far more better than ever in my life. God Bless Dr. Reid.

Dr. Reid and his staff is wonderful. I had to take off my glasses for exams which makes me dizzy not wearing them ,they were very patient and understand. The doctor explained everything in detail.

Just left Dr. Reid's office. He is the greatest and we are soooo lucky to have him in Bishop, CA Thank you Dr. Reid for taking care of my problem like you always do.

Great staff and Doctor! Nice office. They were very accommodating as I was an out-of-towner. Very reasonably priced.
