Lasik Eye Center

I attended for a lasik eye consultation in Nov, Paid over $200 for an eye exam. it took them 3 months to finally have the main Doctor to review my eyes. Each month I call them for an update, they keep saying they will contact me when the Doctor completed, but they never did. In Mid February, I called back again, and was given an approval. Its just disappointing that I have to call them for my own update. So I got an appointment for lasik, and request a day off work for surgery. They prescribe me medication to pick up from Pharmacy, it cost $100 without insurance. On the day of my appointment for surgery, 2 hours before driving to Buena Park Lasik Eye Center, I was given a call that my appointment was canceled and told me to call them back in 6 MONTHS. There wasn't much explanation to why its been delayed for 6 months. Two hours before surgery cancellation was so unprofessional. They had 3 MONTHS!

Usually you go to a medical office and an employee/nurse/PA talks to you most of the time, and the doctor wants to spend as little time with the patient as possible. This is the only medical office I've been to in my life where the doctor EAGERLY talks you through the entire history of lasik, goes through all the positives/negatives/risks of each type of operation, defends his choice of operation, details the entire process, answers all your questions, and still goes on for over an hour. You can tell Dr. Lee really enjoys his craft. The office staff were all kind, friendly, and homely as well.

My mom had a cataract surgery. Awesome results and team members are very friendly and keep following us for all necessary steps or procedures!!!

Went to clinic on the dot of appointment. This appointment was made 3 months ago. Received a confirmation message days ago before departure. The front desk kept insist to telling they tried to call doctor won't make so to reschedule, yet did not received any of these! Isn't it logic to send message or voice message if the call won't go through? Yet, they did not and even apologized for this matter. Overall, they were very rude and terrible customer service. If there was an option of no star or minus star, I would give that.

I had an unpleasant experience with this business, specifically the old asian lady who answered my phone call today on March 6, 2025, around 12:30 PM. I called to schedule an appointment and was placed on hold for 20 minutes while they checked my insurance. After waiting, I called back to inquire about the wait time, and the staff member raised her voice, shouting that they'd call once the check was complete. When I politely asked again for an estimated time, she yelled, claiming it was because I called during lunch hours. This could have been communicated earlier to avoid unnecessary waiting. When I mentioned her rude behavior, she responded defensively. I asked for her name to report the incident, but the overall interaction was unprofessional and disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend this business due to the poor customer service. My mom, wanting to give this business a second chance, called to resolve the issue, thinking it was a mistake on the staff's end. However, she was met with the same rude behavior right away. She told my mom I had no common sense prior to talking during lunchtime. A while I understand there might be concerns, the staff member answered, put me on hold, and didn't mention anything about not calling at that time. She then implied that my mother and I have communication issues due to her limited English, which was not the case. We understood each other perfectly until she snapped. English is not our first language either, but I am educated and have manners knowing communication should be handled respectfully which is what this staff can receive better training on. The entire interaction was unprofessional, disrespectful, and disappointing. I would not recommend this business due to the rude and unaccommodating staff. To the staff I talked with earlier today, I pray you're met with grace and kindness, despite our interaction today. I'm sorry you're struggling, maybe you're sick, but I hope you have the day you deserve. Karma always finds a way.

I heard around the Korean community that Dr. Lee has the most surgeries under his belt by far, so I gave this place a shot. The price was notably lower than the other offices in the Cerritos/Buena Park/Fullerton area that I contacted so I was worried, but my surgery went flawlessly and my vision couldn't be better. Post-op care has been phenomenal as well. They don't try to upsell you on anything and give it to you straight.

The classic Korean-American medical office. Everyone speaks English+Korean and the culture and main clientele is definitely Korean-American (I can see why this was offputting for some others). The doctor is somewhat eccentric, as he went through every possible question an uninformed patient may have (without me asking), but I felt very assured by the end. My eyes were very bad but I came out with 25/20 and after 1 week of suffering was very pleased with the results!

My insurance made an appointment for me the day I had to go. Thought everything was good. Arrived on time for my appointment, filed out paper work and waited, and waited. Attended other people before me without appointment. I saw the argument between the receptionist and the nurses of why they were not attending me. Seem like they didn't want to hear it. Nice Korean lady from the front desk keep telling me "your next" each time they pass another person before me. All I was there for was for my eyes to get checked for diabetes. Simple procedure. wasted my time there. I guess I was not Korean so that is probably why they didn't get to me. Calling my insurance to not recommend anyone there anymore. I found a great eye doctor in the PIH network and going to stick to him. His name is Dr. Choy. Highly recommend him. Stay away from this place. I was flabbergasted at how unprofessional she was. Never making an appointment here ever again.
